READ the reviews for this place 1st!! Wish we would have. : - ( Go to PAGLIAI'S in Iowa City for EXCELLENT pizza. The Happy Joe's nostalgia has left the building, caters to take-out customers, and has a huge ego when pricing their pizza's. Oh. My. Word. Even if you're a take-out kind of person - read the reviews!! Won't recommend, never going back.

My daughter and I went to HJ and we're pleasantly surprised. We had stopped going bc of quality, portion size and cost. Today was a completely different experience. Service was great, food tasted better, serving size was good, and it didn't break the bank. Atmosphere is more cheerful aesthetically too. The positive changes are noted. Great job.

Happy Joe's is a local treasure. There's no crust like Happy Joe's. Their lunch buffet has a wide variety of pizzas. The staff is very pleasant.

The cheese sticks were superb. I also suggest getting a meatless taco pasta. WOW. It was a hit! Wonderfully baked to perfection.

Back in the Quad Cities and grew up with Happy Joes in Iowa City/Coralville, Iowa. Loved it then loved the Taco Pizza then and now.

everything was bad I got taco half meat lover..pizza was over done my taco topping was thrown across both side...cheese bread was hard no cheese....even the cinnamon bread was hard...high priced and not good at all...I try calling because I order at 9pm..nobody answered but not closed until 10 pm...wow never again

Usually have delivery from this'Joe's'. Always good, delivered hot and quick. Opted for dine-in vegetarian to check out their refreshed interior. Very nice efficient design, open, bright and welcoming! Return worthy?! Absolutely!
