“Let me start off by saying I have a food allergy to onion's. I what I ordered had onion, I did tell the waitress I have a food allergy. They brought out the food, right after that the management came out to tell the beans have onion in it and changed the beans for extra rice. Now to me that is awesome. “My husband and I have eaten here three times, and everything is perfection! Each meal is high-quality and delicious. The bread they serve is like none other I’ve had, so now I’m craving it all the time. My daughter-in-law and I consider ourselves experts on what a Cosmo drink should taste like, and we both rated the cosmos here as the best ones we’ve had. The atmosphere is inviting, beautiful and happy, just like the owner who’s there every time we show up. This place is now on our rotation of favorite restaurants.“

“Dough is unique, deliciously savory and always perfectly balanced with a hint of sweetness and has the perfect texture that, I think, is superior to any other similar ‘Quad-Cities style’ pizza places. The pizza is absolutely amazing, but the real treasures are their calzones. For me, it’s their eggplant calzone. Eggplant can be tricky, but they slice it very thinly, use an excellent breading, fry it to perfection and layer it with creamy ricotta & rich mozzarella wrapped in that amazing dough, though occasionally they’ll not use enough filling (so, I order extra eggplant & cheese, just to be safe.) When combined with their ‘calzone sauce’ (on the side, a perfect match, bold & rich, similar to an amazing marinara but their own take, and I think it’s necessary for the full experience), it is one of my favorite meals. I’ve had pizza & calzones in so many states and cities, so many styles and varieties, but I always end up craving Pizza & Subs above all others when I’m in the mood for that. Pro tip: add eggplant to some of their pizzas, such as their garden. Another nice thing, they actually still deliver themselves, not using some service, and they deliver surprisingly quickly most of the time, for a very reasonable fee, and the people are always kind and friendly. Unfortunately, they changed their hours in the past few years and close much earlier than most pizza places, which can often be frustrating. Sometimes they’ll close randomly due to staffing issues or things that come up beyond their control. And their website is literally years out of date, and always reminds me of how much they’ve raised their prices when I go to look at their menu... But, it’s a family run joint that makes amazing food, so accepting those things is necessary even if it means I don’t get food from them as often as I used to. Otherwise, I can’t recommend Pizza & Subs highly enough as something uniquely amazing that I hope remains open for generations to come. Just wish they were able to stay open later, and their prices went down. It’s worth the splurge sometimes, though, and their pizzas are quite loaded with toppings. 🤷‍♂️“

“I ordered Spaghetti w/ Mari meat sauce and chicken fritta. It came with a salad. The food was delicious; however, the portion was ridiciously small--I mean less than a cup of spaghetti. The server didn't offer to refill our salad and the bread sticks were on the luke warm side. I left hungry!!! I usually order the soup and salad, but due to medication couldn't have dairy products and went with the spaghetti. The chicken was the best I've had. The problem was the portion size.“

My mom said best hot ham and cheese she ever eaten (she is 74) My husband says the best meatball he has ever eaten (56 years of meatball sandwiches) My grandson loves the spaghetti and trust me, he is 6 and does not eat many things. As for me, the gondi is soooooo good. Treat yourself to a piece of baklava while you are there because it is awesome! This is a new regular spot for all of us and we all grew up with Avanti, but I love your food much more. I can not express the friendliness and quality of the food. A wonderful atmosphere!“

“I ordered a pizza with extra mushrooms. When the Pizza Hut staff handed me the order (carry out), they informed me that they were not happy with the pizza and asked me to wait for them to make another one. The problem seemed to be that there was a normal amount of mushrooms and not the extra I had paid for. I had not even seen the pizza at this time. I agreed to wait and they whipped out a new one with the appropriate amount of mushrooms. The attendant gave me the first pizza as compensation for the wait time. Overall it was a great experience; not only because I received an extra pizza, but mainly because the attendant took ownership of the mishap. Thank you Pizza Hut for caring for your customers!“
