Came around 8:20 to the Bettendorf location, 40 minutes before close. A couple girls that were working were very obviously bothered that we were making them reopen everything they had closed down. This was my first visit to Smoothie King. As I was sitting at the local Smoothie King waiting for my order a young lady walked in and went up to the counter. As she was greeted by the staff she began to cry. I heard her say “I am sorry I’m just nervous.” The female employee asked her if she was there for an interview and she nodded yes. I ordered a smoothie without protein powder. I was given one that had a dry, powdery texture and aftertaste that reminded me of protein powder. I took it back to the store and asked for it to be remade without protein powder. The man at the counter said that he could tell there was no protein powder in it by looking. He refused to remake it.
