Smoothie King Eyes Major Expansion, Plans 100 New Locations in 2025
Smoothie King wants to open more than 100 new stores in 2025, as the Dallas-based chain builds on its strong growth from 2024.
The smoothie company, which now has 1,200 U.S. stores, opened 84 new locations in 2024, beating its 2023 total of 81 stores. The expansion momentum shows no signs of slowing, especially in key markets like Indianapolis, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Atlanta, where many new franchise deals are being signed.

"Our growth in 2024 reflects the incredible commitment of our franchisees and the strength of our brand," said Chris Bremer, Smoothie King's chief development officer. "We're grateful to our franchise partners, team members, and loyal guests for making these milestones possible."
The company's success story isn't just about location growth. Smoothie King started offering a GLP-1 Support Menu in October and created a new Active Alliance program giving discounts to personal trainers. Another layer to their health-focused initiatives is a partnership with Crunch Fitness to offer deals to gym members.
The chain is now testing new food options at some Texas stores. Their Power Eats menu includes high-protein foods like specialty toast and chicken skewers, made to go well with their drinks.

Current franchise owners believe in the company's future - they signed 68% of all new franchise agreements in 2024. Looking ahead, Smoothie King plans to open stores in Phoenix as part of its push into the Southwest market.
These expansion plans come after recent menu successes. The chain's 2023 introduction of smoothie bowls resulted in over 4.5 million bowls sold between April and November, helping create record-breaking sales.
