Whitey's is my first stop when I return to the Quad Cities from Dallas. TX. It has been my go to spot for excellent malts since my high school days!!!Parking: A lot of people use the drive through so there where quite a few spaces available.Wheelchair accessibility: Nice ramps. Ample space in the store to maneuver.

Visited here a year ago after not having been to a Whitey's in ages. Same great taste as always and hand dipped ice cream.The only thing that has changed is the demand. I mean I kid you not an hour before they were closed the lines were super long and full the wait was long yet so worth it. The options were endless and filling. The place screamed Ice Cream!If you have not been here then you have not been anywhere good. Our visit will last us until we come again. I remember being a kid all the way to to a older teen coming to this place or another one of its locations and being happy. The only other place that gives a person such joys are Happy Joe's and that place that has dilly bars! Whitey's is still king!

After a bit of persistent urging I finally made my way over to Whitey's in Bettendorf for a little bit of a sweet treat..I crafted together my all-time favorite sundae using their Cookies Galore (Oreos & Cookie Dough Chunks) as my base and topped it with a light application of marshmallow topping, M&Ms, whipped cream, and a cherry..I advised the young man behind the counter that it had to be photoworthy and I think he did a respectable job, though it took me a minute to decide on a backdrop..Anywho, I am happy to report that Whitey's is a solid choice for someone wanting a bit of sweetness in their life.. Everything in the sundae was deelish, particularly the Cookies Galore ice cream and it held just enough richness to not be bland but it also wasn't overwhelmingly sweet..So thanks to my local friends for their recommendation!! ?

The ice cream itself was good, but it was a little overpriced. There's no specialty cones either, and no indoor or outdoor seating, so you have to eat in the car. It's also a little unclear what topping options they had as well, and it's hard to see which ice cream you are ordering as there is just pictures and names of each ice cream on the wall rather than looking into the bins of ice cream yourself. That said, the ice cream was good and the staff was friendly and service was quick.

Mmm. My sister got me one of their merch mugs years ago. Only had their icecream once though. This is good. The pics are black cherry, moose tracks & Mississippi mud. Wonderful old style feel. Tons of choices. Family said I picked well with Mississippi mud. Great treat after a fun time seeing friend become new Pastor at Our Savior Lutheran church!Dietary restrictions: Dairy free options

I was visiting Iowa for a family emergency, and decided to stop by Whitey's. I've never been here because the drive through line was always long, but this time we went in. Granted, the line was still long but so worth it. I ordered a 2 dip of watermelon sherbet and praline pecan. I know that combination is weird, but I wanted something creamy and something fruity. The wait to get my ice cream was longer than expected, but just like the line the wait was worth it. Both flavors were so good in their own ways!! I would definitely come back even if there's a long wait!

Swiss almond, Mississippi mud revel and strawberry cheesecake are my go to flavors. Can’t go wrong with those any day.

Young man taking our order didn't know how to explain the differences between the regular, deluxe, or special shakes. Got what we wanted with good service nonetheless. Good ice cream. My folks are home bound and it was good to be able to pick up Whitey's and take it to them.

Everytime I come to the Quad Cities I have to get a taste of some Whitey's ice cream! I usually get some sort of shake and they are always good! I love the oreo or Skor. Their seasonal pumpkin is very good as well.
