Not the pizza crust we used to get. This was very tough to chew. I could not cut with fork. Onion rings are not the thin ones I remember as a child at La Pizza House. That's what I was told to expect from here. Sorry, not even close.
Abbie’s is a great place to go if you want good food and an awesome atmosphere. The owners make you feel like family. Abbie’s is always busy but the service and food are always good. I have had birthday celebrations in their back room and the owners and staff are always accommodating. If you have never been there around Christmas you must go the decorations are a must see.
Food is amazing and the most of the time the place is packed which should tell you how delicious it is. If you are from the Southside of Des Moines and remember La Pizza House’s onion rings this will take you back.
