very friendly
Really good food.
Yummy 😋
I was disappointed with the rice used for the food. It's apparent that sugar was added to the rice to sweeten it, which takes away from the simple, clean, and savory flavor you expect from sushi. The sweetness overpowers any other flavor, so much it was gross. Sugar on my fish is the last thing I want. Doesn't really taste like sushi with the rice so sweet. It kind of ruined the experience for my wife and I, and cravings were not sated.
If I wanted to eat sugar I'd go anywhere else for food. Pretty dissapointing flavor, especially for the price. Wish I hadn't ordered as much as I did, but this is the only sushi I've ever eaten with sweet rice, and I've eaten a lot of sushi in my life. 90 bucks down the drain with the 5 rolls we had ordered. The Miso soup was good, but rice is about 70% or more of the food makeup on the menu.
Great option for a date night, and the atmosphere is cozy with amazing service! The food is delicious! 10/10 would recommend!
Great place. Great food. Great service. Have yet to have a negative experience
Lunch is take out only. Special rolls were out of thos world! The spicy mayo is more spicy than I'm used to but very good and tolerable in little bits. Took more time than I expected but well worth the wait. Reasonable prices. Small dining room and comfortable. Clean!!
Amazing! Best sushi in town I freaking love them!! Tried them on my birthday and have been back ever chance I get. Only thing I wish they did custom platters and not just for new years each year. that’s how much I love them I want a platter!
It was my daughter and I's first time there, and everything was outstanding

First experience at this restaurant. I had heard a lot of good things and overall they lived up to the hype. I was pleased to find out they weren't as expensive as I had been led to believe. The quality and portion size was worth the cost. Plain rolls were as low as $5 with specialty rolls as high as $20. The seared steak roll was massive and delicious. The crab rangoon roll was very good (they use imitation crab) and the old smokey roll was good but the hickory smoke flavor was tad overwhelming for me. The dynamite shrimp was... Well, dynomite! Lol. Worth the trip but will prolly do take-out next time.
Parking: Very small place. Reservations definitely recommended. Music selection was to my liking but the volume was a bit high.
Kid-friendliness: Not designed for kids.

Let me start by saying we made a mistake not reading a sign near the front door. It would’ve saved us a world of confusion.
We’re visiting from Florida & based on opinions of others we decided Go Fish Sushi sounded delicious. And what a cute name! Love it. So darling. And I will say that for gambling on mid-west sushi, it paid off. Everything was delicious. 5/5 stars for the quality of the food.
Back to my review.. Remember, we didn’t see the sign (small sign about knee height.) completely missed it walking in. We were not greeted. I asked if we could sit anywhere we liked & the hostess replied “you can sit while you figure out what you want & then come to the counter to order.” Okay cool. We sat to figure out the menu. Every table had a bottle of soy sauce. I ordered crab Rangoon roll, California roll, spicy tuna roll, and the Philadelphia roll. For beverages I ordered three waters & a draft Sapporo. The hostess stated she’d bring our beverages to the table. She then delivered three bottles of water (not glasses of water) & my beer in a glass. We then realized we’d paid for water. We enjoyed the simple atmosphere while we waited for the food. One customer came in to pick up a take out order. Another came in & sat down at a table nearby. (Whom proceeded to eat at his table.) Our hostess delivered our meal bundled up in take-out fashion. This was confusing (because we hadn’t seen the little sign.) I then stated to the hostess that we intended to dine in & were in need of service wear. Plates, silverware, etc. She replied “we don’t do that.” Puzzled I said “we can’t have a few plates?” while pointing at their obvious stack of small plates. This would have been a very good moment for her to kindly apologize & let us know that they were take out only for lunch. Nothing. Just a reluctant smirk while handing me three little plates & soy sauce dishes. My spouse now noticing the backside of the little sign said “why does your sign say take out & dine in?” One of the two gentlemen replied “cuz you’re only looking at the back of the sign.” By then we were already opened up & divvying up the sushi. So they reluctantly let us continue. We were still confused until we looked at the front if the little sign which clearly stated “take out only.”
There were two opportunities for kindly reminding us they were only offering takeout - at the beginning when asking about a table & then again once we asked for plates. Our hostess failed in that regard & acted very indignant & snobby. We feel bad because of our mistake, but the customer service was sub-par by the hostess.

I wanted to love this place but I just couldn’t. It was about the worst sushi I’ve ever had. The appetizer, Dynamite shrimp was good, but we asked for sauce on the side and it was served ice cold with hot shrimp, which was conflicting. The saucy steak roll had gritty beef and just didn’t taste great. The crab Rangoon roll was way too sweet and didn’t have enough crunch or saltiness to balance out the sweet. The lobster roll was also pretty tasteless. The drink menu is beer and wine/sake only with no liquor. At the end when we received our check I told the server she had forgotten an item, so she added it to our bill. Nothing was offered for a birthday celebration. The service was good though.
Typically reservation only because it's very small, but very good.Ordered the veggie roll and sweet potato tempura roll.Very good.
Vegetarian options: Two vegetarian items I found were the veggie roll, and sweet potato tempura roll, both were very good.
