The burritos and bacon potato soup are to die for. Great service, amazing food, good drinks and comfy space and romantic atmosphere.

Was traveling in the area and happy to stop by this spot. Ahi Tuna was was world class good and drinks done perfect and very original. Really liked the Iowa twist to global food and drinks. Well done!
This place has an identity problem. Hawaii-sounding name, lots of (yummy) Asian-inspired dishes on the menu, & country music playing. Makes me want to rush out every time.
Vegetarian options: Menu has a vegan corner. Worth a trip.

Chef Jared’s food is always amazing. Burlington is so lucky to have him and his little restaurant, the Hawaiiowan.A lot of love and imagination goes into this food. Portions are large and satisfying. I recently got the bibimbap with beef and the beet + goat cheese salad—amazing and I had lots left over for lunch the next day. Atmosphere is cozy and the drinks yummy. Great dessert drinks and menu too—I love the bread pudding!I have not tried them, but there are also lots of vegan options! The restaurant is on the smaller side so I definitely recommend making dinner reservations on the weekend. Thanks for all the love and hard work you put into the Hawaiiowan, Jared!

Food was great! Prices a little high for serving size, but it was nice to have something a little different.

Everything was delicious and I appreciate the vegan menu. Our server was not knowledgeable about the food and there are no vegan desserts. We had the Vietnamese veggie summer roll as an appetizer and it was delicious. I had the Bibimbap because I lived in Korea and wanted to try this version. Good flavor. All the entrees were well prepared. Small portions. Not enough rice or noodles.
Best food in Burlington! We had our first dinner here last night and were so pleased with everything from the service (Robin), drinks, meal and dessert. The atmosphere was casual chic and we will be going back!
Classy, romantic vibe with table cloths & mood lighting. Fleetwood Mac in the background. Wowee, food was AMAZING! Unique well-combined flavors. Perfectly cooked fish. The bread pudding is to die for. We were a lucky walk in, reservations are recommended. Dressing up is unnecessary, a come as you are place, but the environment lends well to an anniversary or special occasion.

Such a beautiful place right here in Burlington, Iowa. The food and drinks were excellent, as well as the service! Can’t wait to go back!
The exterior was hard to find. Not adequate signage or lighting. There was an open sign bit I didn't know what was open. And they said they were open still serving. Once we got inside and seated it was very nice. Kinda like a mini Martini's without the view. The menu options were amazing. Have a great drink selection even though I don't drink. The. Decor is very appealing. Overall a great place. I wish them success.
