My partner and I visited Barn Happy on this drizzly fall day and were instantly transported into a cozy, little cottage that made me feel as if I was in my grandma’s kitchen. I felt her presence strongly as we sat at a table eating the most savory Butternut squash soup that has ever touched my lips. And I could swear the crust on the Swiss and bacon quiche was my grandmother’s recipe. I can’t wait to come back and experience her pies again. I just know she’s in the kitchen...
Love the high class food, pies, prompt service, easy accessibility and parking. Good experience (have been there several times in the past few years). I live in Ames and have a friend in Cedar Falls--we both think highly of Barn Happy.
Good food, often crowded. The seating is in the same area as shopping area so it’s hard to see everything.
