Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que

Famous Dave's realy has changed a lot since Covid19. You come in, order at the counter, then go find a table yourself. The staff doesn't wait on you. After ordering I tipped 20%, and honestly wish I hadn't. It isn't necessary, I got my own drinks and to-go containers. The only thing the staff did was bring our food out. The food was great, just like always. No complaints there.

I went for happy 😃 hour lots of food for the Price hands 🙌🏾 down my favorite restaurant in the cedar Valley 🔥🔥🔥

You order your food at a counter like McDonald's, get your own drink then they ask for a tip. Ridiculous. The only reason I came is because this was my dad

Family came in from hospital visit Jesse greeted us warmly. Answered all our questions nicely. Food came out reasonably quick Brisket was tender and moist! In fact probably the best I have had in a long time at Famous Dave’s.

As always, great food, Great service, Great atmosphere. Was looking forward to catfish fingers, but those don’t come back until March 5th. So maybe next time. Jesse was very knowledgeable and friendly. Thanks for the service Jesse!!

I see why the wait at TXRH is an hour and a half, plus. I ordered the brisket and it was horrible! Dry, tough, old. Same thing with the rib tips. It tastes like the meat is pre-cooked, stored and just reheated when folks order. And the nerve to ask for gratuity when the establishment is essentially self-service. Absolute waste of money.

I spent $35 on 4 tiny little chicken strips that were the size of chicken nuggets, the brisket tasted like it was cut from lame cow, drowned in bbq and thrown in the microwave, infact the corn muffin was the best part of it all, my partner and I were lead to believe that the 2 for $20 was for 2 people but it's actually meant for one, i am very disappointed and will not be coming back here

I used to love eating here but I will never come to famous Dave's again, I am forced to stand at the counter to order food, there is no waiters, it's almost like a fast food place now. They removed all alcohol or any unique drinks off the menu. I like to have one drink as a I eat and I do not like beer. We walked out the door and didn't order. I like places that allow me to have my drink and sit as I figure out what I'd like to eat not be forced to decide everything in seconds standing there. This is not a restaurant to me more like fast food.

This place used to be a traditional restaurant where you are seated, order, and the food is taken to you.

Not sure when, but this was changed. You now order at the front, seat yourself, and your food is delivered. Either way, it's fine by me.

The food is fine with plenty of options. It seemed kind of dead both times we were there, but if they're open then it's probably fine. I liked it here. Staff were great both times. Definitely give it a shot next time you're around this area.

Dietary restrictions: Have a family member with gluten allergy that was able to eat here.

Parking: Be careful. There are a decent amount of spots, but people use this parking lot like a shortcut and fly through it at all times throughout the day.
