Since my all-time favorite donut shop (Donutland) is no longer in Waterloo/Cedar Falls, I am grateful that we now have Hurts. They have a wide selection of donuts for either breakfast or dessert. When I go to a show at the adjacent River Place Plaza Amphitheater, I will usually grab a meal from a street vendor or the nearby pizzeria, and then stop into Hurts for one of their scrumptious donuts. So glad to have this next to a popular outdoor entertainment venue.

I consider myself somewhat of a donut expert. You might say I am on a hole food diet.The real food pyramid is coffee,donuts,pizza. This was the best donut shop I’ve ever seen. The selection available is astonishing. You won’t be disappointed.
I have always loved their apple fritter but went there at 6:00 p.m. and got one to go. When I got home was surprised that it was flat and not much of a taste to it. If this would have been my first time it would have been my last. But I have gotten them before so will probably will go back, but in the morning.
