Went for my first time, and it wasn't that good. Pricing for food wasn't too bad, just depended on what you got. But the service was not good and neither was the atmosphere. The place was beautiful otherwise. It wasn't busy but the service to us took forever and there was no music or anything. It was awkward to eat in silence other than my partner and other people talking. Food was AMAZING otherwise.
We haven't be to Sakura for a long while. I picked it for my birthday supper. The atmosphere is unchanged, service was good, but was slow and did mess up on my spouse's order hence the three star rating on service. The food was good, not excellent. I have always gotten the filet for my steak as it is melt in your mouth tender. On this visit my steak was not tender, was chewy and had some fat in it. Don't know if it was Ribeye or just a bad filet, but not the normal...
There was a wait ... but probably because the food is so good. The person who cooked and presented our food was fun, my students who had never been to a hibachi restaurant enjoyed it and is the reason I gave 3 stars. The food was excellent. I ordered several sushi and sashimi dishes to share with my students, and they really enjoyed some of them. High praise from students who were thinking they would hate it. The steak was the best steak hibachi I can remember having. Truly excellent.
