They’ve expanded their vegan pizza menu to include a larger variety of flavors. My recent favorite is the vegan Hawaiian pizza with bbq and pineapple.
There's a lot to love about Urban Pie, but I think my favorite thing there is the passion of the staff. There's so many options to choose from, but the team there knows how to guide guests through a decision to get the tastiest pie possible.

Great patio area. Brunch specials. Beer and cider on Tao. Pizzas are smallish but still good to split. LOTS of selection on specialty pies or build your own.

I so appreciate that this restaurant has a lengthy vegan pizza menu with lots of varied options. I think it's a little weird that the vegan meat they chose to carry is vegan chicken. Sausage, chorizo, pepperoni, or even burger-style meat would make more sense. They're closer to what you'd typically expect with pizza. We got the taco pizza, and it was okay. My husband and I shared it, and I was glad we didn't get more than that because neither of us wanted the leftovers. It was a little bland. They use regular unseasoned tortilla chips for the topping, the sauce is bland, the cheese is mozzarella style, and there's no vegan meat on it at all. A little bit of cheddar-style cheese, sausage or chorizo, jalapenos, and/or a more flavorful sauce would really help this pizza out. The servers were obviously really slammed & understaffed. I was basically done eating by the time they brought the pizza sauce I requested. I could eat here again, but I wouldn't rush back.
Tasty beer, tasty food. It was a little weird that the beer and food were separate, but it turned out great!

I normally love the pizza here. I had a delivery order and upon receiving it, I found one pizza drenched in grease. Cannot eat it and disappointed. The other pizza was not this way at all (which is what I'm used to).

Thank you Hannah F. for being my server tonight! It’s not everyday I see young people work as efficiently and respectful as you. I was acknowledged right away and given a proper amount of time to look through the menu. While I was deciding, you were helping out other tables, grabbing drinks, cleaning up, putting dishes away, and etc. Your suggestions were amazing choices and satisfying. I also appreciate how you acknowledge one mistake on the food and offered a solution for it. However, it was unnecessary because it tasted delicious. Thank you so much for the experience and continue work hard as you did today!

Urban Pie has 8 vegan pizza options on their menu plus you could build your own. We got a vegan Thai pizza without the jalapenos. I really liked it but wasn't expecting the peanut sauce to be so zesty lol. I'd definitely stop here again for pizza if I'm in the area. Urban Pie has a nice outdoor seating area and is across the street from a craft brewery.
I live in Waterloo and we used to have "Your Pie" but it closed for some unknown reason. I loved their pizzas; they were affordable & just the right size for one person.
Last week, I decided to give "Urban Pie" a 2nd try. The service was excellent as the server waited on me immediately and brought me my drink right away also. The pizza was also delivered fast. However, for a 10" pizza, about 6 1/2" was edible and the rest of it was just "crust". The bottom was all black and granular and got your fingers all dirty. (They must need to clean their ovens more often). The cost for a 10" pizza (which was the smallest one that offered, as a "personal pizza") was $14.00. The beverage was $3.00, and after the "customary tip" the total was well over $20. and that is just too much for one person for "lunch".

Great service the staff was so awesome they noticed the mistake on my pizza before I did. Offered to make me a free pizza at no charge. I declined it because i was happy with what I got and the manager still gave me a discount on it.
