Wilbo Burgers Brats & Beers

BUYER BEWARE: Wilbo’s Burgers Brats & Beers charges an additional 15% fee if you order carryout, and even worse, that fee is calculated AFTER the tax is added!

I called to place an order and was told it would be ready in about 25 minutes. They gave me a total over the phone that reflected the items + tax. There was no mention whatsoever of a 15% surcharge for simply picking up my own food.

When I arrived I found out the real total is calculated as: Items + Tax = Subtotal. Subtotal + 15% = what you ACTUALLY pay.

When I asked the manager about it, they told me the fee was to “help the chefs in the back.” I responded: “Maybe you should pay them what they deserve instead of dumping your responsibilities onto your customers!”

We ordered the Wilbo Combo as an appetizer, plus a Build Your Own hamburger and The Spicy One brat. The food was decent; won’t deny that.

However, the lack of transparency and the way they shift their responsibilities onto customers is unacceptable. I will definitely NOT be coming back. I recommend others who are ordering from them to check your bill carefully before you pay.

Plenty of seating, service was prompt, friendly and efficient. My brat was delicious and arrived after a very short wait.

This place was phenomenal! The vibe was great, and the service was top-notch. I ordered a double patty burger with sauteed jalapeños, bacon, and pepper jack cheese. I got what I wanted, but better — it was absolutely fantastic. Usually, pickles kind of add a bit of tang, but for this burger was different. They were stealing the flavors since just by it self was so good. I got it with fries, those were ok, actually, I did not finish them. But the burger, the best I have had in years! Highly recommend this place!

Wilbo’s onion rings are a seasoned blend of shoe string and original onion rings. Something I’ve never had before and they are delicious! Coming from WI, we just voted on the top eight burger joints of the state. I’ve had burgers from two of the top contenders and Wilbo Burgers would right there in the mix.

I’ve been here twice and Wilbo makes great burgers.

I have never had such a disgusting meal from Wilbo Burgers since I’ve been coming here for years.
Beyond disappointing….
I HAD (last time was today April 29,2025) been going to Wilbo for almost 5 years of traveling here to Cedar Falls, IA.
Today was the WORST…..!!
There’s been times where it was not what I remember from past experiences, but I expect everyone has a not so good day.
I don’t know if they didn’t value me as a customer because of my color, or just having a cook that needs SERIOUS training on consistency.
Don’t know if the griddle was only hot enough for one side of the burger, not sure what happened. Another thing, was the fryer not working as well to cook the CRISPY mac & cheese? Doesn’t really look like it even hit a fryer.
Wherever the issue maybe, I deserve better period.

I highly recommend building your own burger. Server recommend pork burger with Swiss and pineapple. So good.

Burger was tasty. Had some good beers as well.

Tried the Philly brat with a blue boom damn good loved it . Came during a wesday at 2pm slow hrs good for a meal.

Waiter wasn’t knowledgeable about the 80 beers on the menu. Couldn’t answer question. No beer list, have to leave table & stand at the bar. Ordered hot dogs, mediocre, served on a cold, steamed bun. The green chili stew was delicious & outside seating is comfortable.
