The food was amazing and the servers were helpful and kept our drinks full.

My wife and I recently stop for dinner and drinks at Emil’s. Although the waitress was friendly, she was really pushing us to eat and drink as fast as we could.I have never felt so pressured. My husband had to tell her he was still eating and I had a mouth full of food as she took away my tray. When we walked in they were people there that we recognized and as we walked out they were still there. I think that we ate our meal within 15 to 20 minutes tops. A record. We don’t linger over our meals ever. But this waitress was bound and determined to get us in and out like cattle. Never again.

Pretty cool restaurant with an interesting environment since they have it really dark inside. The Hawkeye sandwich was solid, but I was disappointed by the broccoli side. The portion was really small and it was way overcooked. There were also large chunks of garlic (?) that didn’t really work.

Our server was excellent and helped us make a great selection from the beverage menu. Pretzel bites were sweet, fluffy, gooey, and doughy on the inside with a crispy shell and a salty coating. Honey mustard sauce was a perfect blend between my moms homemade recipe and a touch of the slightly gooey finish of burger place honey mustard. Pizza crust here is excellent, with a bread flour flavor, a tad of sweetness and yeastiness. The fries here are incredible, the flavor/seasoning and texture is everything good about a curly fry in the form of a straight fry. Smokey ranch dressing was also amazing and I am not necessarily a ranch lover myself. Overall the menu here is a good blend of various "american food" a little bit done up. Lots of great selections and a few clear favorites. Seems like you have some room to customize your order to your preferences. One thing they could improve is more options or markings on the menu for folks with dietary needs.

June 12th we stopped in and had another hard time picking food out from a never disappointing menu ? we had to go with the usual suspects for apps but for the first time I tried Emil’s Club and WOW that’s all I have to say about that
Order anything and let the food speak for itself

We've eaten Emil's food several times before. Got carryout tonight and I chose to order a pizza as I remembered them being delicious. Turned out I remembered pizza from another restaurant.

That being said, I was initially put off by the size for the price. After getting home and opening it up, the Combo pizza was beautiful. Took a few bites and was immediately impressed. Sauce was sweet in a way that complimented the plentiful toppings. I'm sad we won't have leftovers for tomorrow but very happy with the product!

Wonderful spot for food and drinks. The grape gorgonzola pizza was a wonderful surprise.

Cedar Rapids - always wanted to try this place, we were there on a week night, it’s a hideaway so it’s dark in the booth areas. Needed my phone flashlight to read the menu. Rubeun was good, French dip was ok, fish-n-chips were frozen tossed in the fryer, French fries & redneck nachos were awesome.

$16 for 8 wings. Typical bar decor. I found their version of Paloma to be bad but that's just personal taste. Other drinks were mixed well. Food wasn't anything special. There are much better options in town if you're looking to spend the money

This place is cool inside- the bar has lights in it and it’s a darker atmosphere in general. With that said, the rumors are true!! The food is delicious and the service is superb! The banana cake is also out of this world. ?? . Jamie is great too!

Mac n cheese, good. Spicy baked beans, good. Succulent rib meat topped with tasty tangy made in house barbeque sauce? Nom nom nom on Goooooooood! Ladies and Gents, the bbq Sunday.
