immaculate service from alec
Always enjoy eating here. The food is always tasty and the staff is great. I only wish they were open Sunday or for lunch on Saturday since that is usually when I think about going there.
Delicious food. Great service!
Love Emil’s. It’s our go to place.
Great service food was hot and fresh and the beer was cold. I would recommend going if you haven’t been there.
Emil's was pretty busy at happy hour for a Tuesday night. The gyro was delicious, meat very tender and full of flavor. Wife got the BBQ pork which had a yummy sweet sauce. Big Grove Birch the Bear was on tap that night. Good sweet potato fries! We had a nice quiet booth for the two of us. Great service in spite of the busy night. Out of the way location, worth the find. Emil's is one of those classic 1960s spots that defined that era in Cedar Rapids; it's a favorite of the elderly. I guess that includes us 😀
Unique flavors with a nice atmosphere and good service. You really can't ask for anything more than that
My family went to Emil's hideaway tonight. (12-5) Service was spectacular, our server was polite, knowledgeable and on point. We ordered the pepperoni pizza, Frisco burger with the side Mac n cheese and chicken parm meal. Drinks of beer (2), long Island (1) and some other specialty beer 🍺 were brought out promptly and ice cold. Great job to the staff. Highly recommend.
Service is excellent and everything I've ordered so far has been delicious 😋 Will be back more often!
Always beats expectations best in town

The food was so delicious, and ready faster than we thought it would be. The pick up experience was quite simple. Great place.
Good food and drinks and good service equals great night
Always a great experience. Love the atmosphere!!
This is a great restaurant. Very nice employees and the food is great! Can't wait to go back.
This is out of the way of main stream traffic. Definitely need to know it is back where it is. Sure was worth giving them a try. We had big lunches so we just split an appetizer. Was so good, spicy chicken rangoons. We ordered another appetizer, Korean pork belly Burnt ends. So chewwy and buttery at the same time. Fantastic! Then we got a dessert to go for later, Monkey bread, stellar and made to order. Takes a little bit for this but very worth it. The smokey ranch was something new and pretty good as well. The only tiny thing was the maple bacon old fashioned. Neat concept, but serve them wiith king cubes, not rock ice. Can't wait to go back. Our server Adrianne was the best!!! Very informative and helpful, just the best.
