Fried chicken smelled very fishy and tasted like old stinky fish, one of the chicken pieces was spoiled, I had to throw rest of food in trash, who ever is cooking at this place should not be a cook. Fries were good and real not frozen but same issue very fishy, chicken was very small in size.

Ngl shit was nasty, food smelt like old grease that hadn’t been changed in a week and the fish was flimsy NOT CRISPY at all fish tasted like it hadn’t been washed nor seasoned properly, tasted like dirty fish NOW I understand why yall CV location closed

I’m from Chicago so visiting Iowa we found this spot and decided to try it first they got my order wrong by the time I got to where I was staying I had to drive back for them to correct it , they were pretty cool about remaking my food but when I got to my destination again they had given me a half of a wing and for the prices they’re charging I need my whole wing!!!! Not only that food was fried in old grease and it was old chicken, NOT A GOOD REPRESENTATION OF A CHICAGO STAPLE!

The food was terrible, I couldn't even eat it. The chiken wings were covered in feathers, and dry on the inside. The catfish was overcooked, had no flavor, and was also dry on the inside. The fries were very over cooked as well. The only positive was that the food was very hot.
Absolutely wonderful meal the chicken was so flavorable, and hot the sides where on point I highly recommend this place to anyone

The service was friendly but didn't get the food how I ordered it. Not sure if it's the person that took the order or a cook issue. But, the food was awful. Chicken was rubbery, without the seasonings and the fries were extremely soggy. Mushrooms were, eh. Can't really mess up a frozen food accessable at any tavern. So disappointed the star of the show (chicken) was such a let down. The floor was also extremely muddy. It hasn't rained in days... Haven't been to Chicago/Harold's in 20yrs I was so excited to hear one opened in CR. It's not the same....

I'm from Georgia, so I decided to try Harold's because my family are big chicken eater. They have the best gizzard and liver meals ever and the Cole slaw taste like my grandma's. Kudos to Harold and thank you for making this southern girl feel like home.

After a long, busy day, I decided to give Harold’s a try. I was a bit hesitant since it was getting late, but I went for it anyway. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet my expectations. I ordered shrimp, catfish, fries, and okra, but the overall quality of the food was disappointing. The shrimp, in particular, was overcooked and tough. I was really hoping for a better experience.
