I have been a Popeye's fan since 1990 - and in Louisiana. I understand that things change, business expectations, etc., but I am completely turned off from them now. Over the last couple of years, not only has customer service changed, but their quality of food had too. Their tenders are paper thin, the red beans and rice and mush on mush - reminds me of the food from the old buffets, "no teeth needed". Even the sandwiches, alot less meat. The service? You'll be waiting for a minimum of 45 minutes (at least at THIS facility). And they don't care - "It's coming". While people are arguing and laughing and joking around, behind the counter. Looking like their doing alot of nothing. From a customer perspective, they punch in and punch out and get a paycheck, no pride in their job, don't care about customers, don't listen to their customers. I know reviews are usually used for a specific thing that happened, but I wanted to share my overall disappointment with the current Popeye's, and for this specific shop. Buyer Beware. You will NOT get your money's worth. Sorry.

Placed an order at 2:39 saying pick up now because Ik this location is very slow at making food I got there 10 minutes later and they didn’t start cooking the food till we got there no biggy, but then it took 37 minutes ontop of the 10 minutes all we ordered was a chicken sandwich, 6 chicken strips,fries and Mac and cheese and somehow it took 47 minutes with 2 people back there. The cashier didn’t put fries in the bag or a spoon so I asked if “I could get the fries and a spoon/fork for the Mac and cheese” and she says “the fries are in there did you check the bag” so I verified to her that they wernt in there and she just dumped the fries in a normal bag there was no one there so it obviously was not busy 10 ish minutes before we got our food a doordasher came to get his order and was there even after we were done eating he even complained how trash this location is everytime I’ve seen her in there she’s has a dirty look on her face like she dosnt want to be there very short and snappy with an attitude problem definitely go to the Popeyes on Blair’s ferry 10x better food and costumer service the Mac and cheese literally tasted like the smell of a fart and Popeyes Mac and cheese is my favorite this place should in fact be shutdown it’s been years of horrible service.3.5 star rating should forsure be at a 2 max

Don't door dash from here. Just did, cold soggy fries, wrong sandwhich (ordered fish got chicken) no napkins, no utensils (hard to eat mac and cheese) no ketup. Order was upside down in their delivery bag. One of the worst experiances I've had.

This is the worst Popeyes in Cedar Rapids iowa. I ordered online and didn’t receive my order of shrimp meal. I stop ordering from them over a year but tried to start back but service got worse. Last month I order online for pickup in drive thru because I had to get back to work. I was told could I had come in. Second me and one of my co workers both places orders for pickup in driveway thru and they literally ask us to come, when at the window we see one of the employees running a order out and when they return they couldn’t even get in. Whoever runs this Popeyes need to fire everyone that’s there exactly the guy Micheal he’s always drunk. As an owner you need to close down. Louisiana Popeyes chicken is not the same at other locations. The chicken is messing up the brand. I don’t taste the Louisiana taste at no Popeyes in Iowa. NO LOCATION and yea I have visited the one Blair Fair. Same deal.

I'm not sure who the manager is or owner, but they need to take a step back and see the amount of issues they have in this "restaurant". I was door dashing an order and it took an hour and a half to get it out the door. There was 2 customers inside the building, and 2 cars in the drive through. I understand that short staffing has a huge play... but not when one of your workers was picking his nose and licking sauce off the bottles and his fingers in the back clear as day while orders needed to be done. Who knows where his hands have been and how long it was since they were washed. It was unsanitary and disgusting at its finest! I will decline any order through Popeyes and I'll be sure to warn my friends and family. Nasty.The health department will be called immediately.

One visit they had me pull ahead waited 45 minutes before going back to the window because it was covid time still and told me sorry we forgot you. Today almost 3 years later I stopped on a whim got a 5 piece tender meal drink and potatoes gave the cashier a $20 bill she gave me NO change and no receipt. That's legit theft I really won't be coming back after this. Ps the chicken was barely cooked enough and certainly not the hot.

i came in to the restaurant place and order with a friend and a nice young lady was helpin me but another lady came over like she was the boss with an attitude asking if she can take our order the other lady informed her that the dasher was waiting for 18 wings she looked at her and then looked back at us and rolled her eyes and proceeded to tell her that she can clock out and leave that employee did nothing wrong

Everytime I come here the employees are always rude and give the wrong orders I ordered a 12 piece sweet and spicy wing meal I received a 6 piece bbq wing meal with a Hi-C instead of a strawberry Fanta. I called and explained what happened and the manager told me I can come back and she can change the drink and and when I said I this isn’t the food I ordered.

WOW I have never had such a bad drive thru experience. I checked the menu before going so I had an idea of what I wanted. Spicy Truff sandwich was up first for my fìance, that's apparently online only which I can't seem to find ANYWHERE that it says that. So spicy chicken sandwich it is instead. I wanted surf n turf, instead I got 8 pieces of breaded shrimp. No chicken to be found. Dr pepper (its on the board) to drink? Don't have it. Tartar sauce for dipping? Don't have that as its only for on sandwiches?? Got mac n cheese as a side and half of it was a chunk of half melted shredded cheese. We were the only people in the drive thru, one person seated inside. Must be a reason why.

It's not that the food is bad, the chicken sandwich is hands down the best offered by any fast food restaurant. But the service is atrocious. They're always out of something (usually the thing you want, the sandwich) and they frequently take over 30 minutes to get your food out. And it's more often than not messed up. I can't count the number of times I've ordered a classic with bacon and cheese and they forget the bacon and cheese.I'm gonna stop coming here soon. Getting sick of this.

Left before ordering. Staff was too busy talking to even notice me. While standing the saw both bathrooms out of order.. Where are people supposed to wash their hands? And you're still open that's absolutely disgusting I guarantee I'll never be back after seeing that and you're lazy employees. Even the front door of the place was broken.
