I went to Riley's Cafe for breakfast with my boyfriend because I had never been there but he said it was really good and that I had to try it. We parked it back and ended up walking past their bathrooms and through their kitchen to get to the sitting area which was confusing to me at first. We were seated immediately in a booth and we gave our drink orders to the waitress immediately but ended up waiting almost 10 minutes before our waitress came back with our drinks (even though it wasn't even that busy and there appeared to be a lot of people working and just talking). When our waitress returned with our drinks, she brought me a coffee (which I didn't order) and gave the orange juice that I did order to my boyfriend and then left from us so quickly before my boyfriend could tell her that he still needed his Diet Pepsi that he had ordered. Then it took our waitress what seemed like another 10 to 15 minutes before she came back over to us to take our order and to find out that she still need to get my boyfriend has correct drink that he had ordered. After we placed our order, the waitress finally brought my boyfriend his correct beverage and it took a long while before we got our food good. I ordered a Greek omelette with black beans and an English muffin. My boyfriend ordered a Breakfast Scramble with a side of 1 pancake. Our food was greasy and my boyfriend said it was never like this when he's visited Riley's Cafe in the past. So then we went back to Riley's Cafe two weeks later and our service and food was better. Overall, an average breakfast spot.

Service was great, as always. The price on the other hand, not so much. I had an omelette and a side of bacon, total cost with tax, $17!! The omelette alone was somewhat skimpy for $12.44 and the bacon, for 3 slices was $4. I know the price of things is on the rise, but this seems a bit extreme.

This was a great experience my mother actually had me stop there after a drs appointment. I had never been there before and so I pulled in and we went inside and was greater right away was told we could sit wherever we would like and menue's were brought to us right away and that waitress was very polite and patient as it took me a little her to decide what I wanted. After I decided she took our order and it was served in no time at all and I tell you if was very good indeed and she kept coming back throughout our meal to refill coffee and ask if we needed anything else and they close at 1:00 in the afternoon and my mother thought they closed at 2:00 and we was the only ones in the place and was never rushed by anyone because they want you to enjoy your meal. So I give this Cafe Two thumbs up and will be going there again if I am up that way again someday! I encourage you to try Riley's right on 1st Ave you won't regret it! Oh and the old photos of the river are very interesting aswell as the fire trucks and the way things used to be way back when so yes very good eats check it out!

Best breakfast in town- have been going since 2009. Recently is under new ownership and just keeps getting better! The 1st Ave location is the original location with a genuine, "homey" environment. Staff always goes above and beyond and cooks never fail to deliver a perfect breakfast/lunch! They have also been very accommodating to COVID preventative measures/ sanitation. A huge bonus is that they now offer delivery on weekends, how neat! 10/10 recommend.
