“First time at Cheddar’s and I have to say, they did a fine job with the food.

I never expected a restaurant to serve complimentary croissants to customers. Those croissants were light and flaky, excellent quality overall. I didn’t expect the sweet glaze on them; I thought it was okay but felt the croissants would be better without them (I usually prefer my croissants savory).

My order of bourbon glazed salmon and shrimp was delicious. The salmon was cooked just right, flaky and tender, not dry at all. The shrimp were tasty too, nice and plump.

As for the sides, I enjoyed the red beans and rice. I thought the dish had a good amount of salt. The pork helped amplify the dish too. The broccoli cheese casserole was pretty good; not too cheesy and fairly tender broccoli. I just wish that dish was hotter. It felt a bit lukewarm.

Our waitress was very nice and attentive. She did an excellent job helping us with our food.

Overall, I’ll definitely keep Cheddar’s on my list of restaurants to revisit. With food and customer service this good, they more than earned my respect.“
