We enjoyed our dinner here! Great food & unique atmosphere. (I am very adverse to anything spicy & was concerned that the food may be too much for me, but was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't. You can also request milder versions of most entrees). Would definitely recommend!

We went to Taj Mahal in Cedar Rapids today and had a disappointing experience. We bought three meals that usually cost around $37, but today the total came to about $58. When we asked why, we were told gas prices had gone up, which did not really make sense for that level of increase.

We also bought what they claimed was sandalwood. We specifically asked if it was real sandalwood and were told yes. After taking it home, it appeared to be just regular wood with a very bad smell and nothing like real sandalwood.

Very disappointed. Be careful when buying products there and always double-check prices before paying.

Stopped in for a weekday lunch and was blown away! The veg buffet variety was amazing—fresh Paneer Tikka Masala, creamy Dal Makhani, and fluffy naan brought fresh to the table. The flavors are truly authentic, not watered down like some places in the US. Great, friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. Definitely a must-visit for authentic North Indian food!

This is an Indian restaurant and grocery store. They only do carry out orders for their prepared food. My first meal here was absolutely delicious!

They don't open at 10. Not sure when they do open. Grub hub, doordash let's you order but they will be closed.

I ordered panhabi kadhi and chilli chicken and naan through doidash portion sizes were very good and food was authentic taj mahal is the best restaurant in the town
