The Flying Wienie Reviews
Used to be good. Today I had a Chicago dog and fries. The bun was soggy and the fries were awful. Dry and tasteless. Inedible. My wife had a hamburger. It was the size of a slider. She couldn’t eat her fries either. Won’t be going there again anytime soon.
I knew when Iowa changed the law about kids working in restaurants this was going to happen. Using them for long hours and abusing their knowledge about what their rights are. Tell them one rate of pay and then short change them. Won’t be eating here ever again.
takes advantage of 14-15 year old working them in the kitchen not paying what he promised. you don't want to support him.

The Flying Wienie is a small, family-friendly restaurant offering Chicago-style hot dogs, ribs, and more. Located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, it is known for using fresh and fine ingredients. The Chicago dogs are a highlight, as many customers express their satisfaction with them. Guests can customize their sandwiches, and the restaurant features plenty of Cedar Rapids literature on the walls, creating an interesting atmosphere while they wait. The gyro and chili dog are also popular, with the chili noted for being homemade rather than canned. However, some complaints have surfaced regarding the French fries being too dark, cool, and lacking seasoning. Despite reports that the portions are small for the price and extra charges for some condiments, the fries are made from freshly cut potatoes, not processed ones. The restaurant's cleanliness has been questioned, with some customers experiencing dirty tables. Parking can be limited, but it is usually sufficient during off-peak hours. The restaurant features a video game table and arcade games like Dig Dug, making it a kid-friendly spot that families enjoy. Customers love to eat here when they come to Cedar Rapids.
