Someone finally came in to help him around 5:30 when I was talking with him he said he had a line to the door for the last 45 minutes.”

“I've visited previously and had a great experience. On 9th December 25' I was served by an older, dark-haired lady. There was no greeting or a smile just a "What can I get started for you". Her demeanor and attitude was really cold. I'm glad that I'd had a great experience in the past otherwise this would have been my first and last visit. The café itself is very warm and cosy; the coffee is delicious. It's clean; however the ladies room could use some dusting on the metal rails and paper towel holder. The young ladies that work there are actually really sweet and they even wished me a great day as I walked out which, somewhat made up for the lady that served me.”

“We were in town for a baseball tourney and they accommodated us both Saturday and Sunday for breakfast. Fast service, and good food with great prices. We had a group of 35 and no issues!”

This is in the old Mexican restaurant location. It's a great upgrade from that.

Wife ordered the Monti-cristo (however it's spelled) with fries and a drink. Huge sandwich, took half of it home for dinner. She absolutely loved it.

I had the Ruben with fries and a iced tea.

Why are all fries in Iowa these thin shoestring things? Steak fries are wonderful.

Anyway, the Ruben was very good, thick cuts of meat piled high, good crunch on the bread. It held up all the way through, wasn't soggy at all.

Decent price, for the two of us it was around $50 with tip included.

“We have been testing tenderloins in town and Lebowskis still has the best quality tenderloin. The club sandwich is also a good choice. You dont have to get fried sides, they have several healthy options to pick from. their Nachos are FIRE! We pay for double meat but very much worth it compared to others in town. Very clean and friendly atmosphere. Great lunch specials with good portions. If you stop in, tell Missy we sent you! 🥰”

“5/5 - Hands down best chicken, perfectly seasoned & juicy. This is my favorite restaurant in town and is wildly underrated. I drive completely across town and I'm never disappointed. If you haven't been here you are missing out. I have dreams about the chicken pita bowl & the best part, its healthy! I just found out they have their food truck on the SW side occasionally too! 😄”

“Tried Whiskey River for the first time last night. I want to preface this by saying that I called last week and asked if they could accommodate a party of 12-15 the next Monday. The girl who answered (i think it was Lacey but im not 100% sure) was very sweet and said they could forsure do that. I told her it was for my daughter's 21st and she even told me she gets a free shot. Over the weekend more people decided to join us. So Monday morning I called back and asked if the could accommodate 25. I also told her we were willing to sit on the patio to make it easier. She said it was no problem and that she would let the night staff know. Lacey was very sweet and professional! On to my review. Our party showed up between 530 and 6 in increments. I was late (I always am lol) and found out our server was Leann (spelling?) She was very sweet and ran her bitt off all night. We are a demanding but kind group so I give her props. Also because we were on the patio there were flies and a lot of the no-see-um bugs. Absolutely, nothing that they could have done about the no-see-ums, but she apologized at the end of our meal anyways. So I thought that was very thoughtful of her. They did have fans to help (it didn't no offense) so I would suggest maybe the fire pits or the tiki heaters to help stave them off. (They are attracted to Co2 and moisture) Not sure if it would work but it's worth a shot :) The food took a little bit for some (we had 25 people order in a 10 min period I am NOT complaining at all) but was hot and fresh (definitely not warmer hot) when it came out. So of the dishes we tried: Wings - Delicious. Flavor and sauce was so good. Dill Pickle Cheese Curds - huge serving. Just the right amount of pickle flavor. Fajita Salad - huge portion of steak well made Whiskey Burger - good flavor. A little too well done but still good Chicken Tenders - flavorful and seemed to be the hand breaded type. Pulled Pork Nachos - Huge portion. Good mix of toppings. Lots of meat. Steak - Cooked to perfection and delicious Chicken Sandwich - Huge. Crispy buy not too. Good flavor. OVERALL 9.5/10 Will definitely be back”

“I love Culver’s restaurants but was disappointed in the Hiawatha location this evening. We stopped there just because they had Creamy Lemon Crumble for the flavor of the day, but it turned out to be Creamy Vanilla Crumble. We couldn’t taste any lemon, though there was lots of cookie crumble in it.”
