The ladies here make you feel like you’re family. They remember names, drink orders, food favorites of regulars. I have so many wonderful memories having big family events here. It was my grandparents favorite to gather. We have continued meeting here as a family my whole adult life as well. They have great food, amazing margaritas, and the best people running the restaurant.

Yesterday, my husband and I tried El Toro in Clinton. I have long since just enjoyed Mexican for what it is usually is outside of the western states, Tex mex. I was raised by a nana who made a fresh pot of frijoles weekly, that she usually had me wash for her, and roasted her chiles on the comal for her salsa until the smoke cleared the room.
