Phoenix Asian Restaurant

I absolutely love this restaurant I order from it all of the time and I never have a problem but Not Today. I ordered the crispy duck and it was mostly bones and duck skin maybe 20, 25% of the meal was actually meat that I could eat. I called the restaurant and the person on the phone told me that oh yes the crispy duck is usually just skin there's hardly any meat you should expect a lot of Bones. I replied there are just almost basically bare Bones in here though and there's almost no meat this was expensive. And he said will it's mostly skin that's what you should expect if you order it again. I implied for some sort of refund and was shut down so I told him to have a nice day and I hung up but I am leaving this review because that was crazy

So I decided to order thru Door dash ….little did I know they do their own deliveries (Phoenix Asian Restaurant) I did not find that out til I called the restaurant. After I payed thru DoorDash , it came up that my food was to be delivered between 8:14 and 8:29 pm but Phoenix Asian restaurant does their OWN deliveries. At 8:35 I called Phoenix Asian Restaurant. I asked where my food was. I was told that they had 3 more orders in my area along with mine. It was going to be longer than what was said on the DoorDash app. I did not think it was good customer service that I payed on the DoorDash app and was promised a certain time , to find out they do their own deliveries. They did not go by Doordashes time schedule as said on my confirmation text. Now I was gonna have to wait longer ….Remember I paid all the DoorDash fees , delivery fees and service fees , plus tip. I had no idea it was going to take considerably longer for the delivery.
The woman on the phone was not the friendliest … She asked me if I wanted to cancel my order. I said no. I had teenage kids that were starving and now it would be too late to go somewhere else. So she then asked if I would like to talk to the owner. I said yes I would. He got on the phone and was immediately rude to me. It escalated pretty fast. He asked if we would just like to cancel our order and I said NO. We were now starving and everything is now almost closed! I was trying to tell him to take off some of the delivery fees and I would call it good.
He kept talking to me in a very rude tone and I was trying to stay calm. I could not believe he was treating a customer the way he was treating me. I was never able to get out what I would like him to do. Then he just hung up on me ! THE OWNER OF HIS OWN RESTAURANT! I called back and I asked him why would he hang up on a customer and treat a customer so rudely. He said it was because “ he was busy “ …. He then started yelling into the phone “what do you want” ? “What do you want “? Over and over again. Before I could really say anything else he hung up on me AGAIN ! I tried to call back AGAIN , this time I just wanted to cancel my order. I could not believe how I was treated. I called back 3 or 4 more times to cancel my order , but no one answered.
Twenty five mins later our food was delivered to our door. I was already out at Panda Express getting food. My husband called me while I was out getting food. I’m calling my bank in the morning. I’m going to dispute the charge. I have never been treated and talked to so badly buy a business in my life. I’m speechless.

Food got to the hospital in great timing. They texted me food had arrived, when I replied back asking where they dropped it off. I didn’t get a response. Next food was terrible, very bland and just overall had no flavor. Egg rolls were okay but dry. I thought this would be a great place to get food but was disappointed. Egg drop soup was amazing

Not from Iowa, visited the area. I am a huge orange chicken fan and let me tell you - this place has FANTASTIC orange chicken.

Cost was about $17, but that was chicken, rice, soup and an egg roll - so well worth the total package.

The owner was nice at the register and helpful. The to go packaging included some cardboard at the bottom of the bag to keep it all level/stable - incredible, I loved that.

If you collect 10 of their little cardboard sleeves you get a free meal so that would be helpful if youre a local. I'd give this place a 6 out of 5 if google let me.

The food was very good. Fast. Hot. Fresh. Although there were some concerns regarding gluten, they were able to provide a vegetable dish with white sauce minus the wheat. It was very good and so was the rice. Water chestnuts, celery, mushrooms, onions, carrots. Very vegan and very good.

That is on Sunday , we went there for lunch. The restaurant was cozy, the staff was super friendly. I tried their crispy duck, that was super crispy and tender and juicy. I love it so much I even ordered one to take home. The crabs Rangoon was best in town. The price was affordable .I would recommend everyone who is hungry for Asia cuisine to visit this place.

Ordered 2 orders of Phoenix egg foo young it's was horrible tasted like vomit and idk what the patties were tasted like hash brown ? I ordered steamed vegetables how do you mess up veggies idk what sauce they steamed it in it was horrible ? the so called fried rice was just rice with a dash of brown the veggie egg rolls was disgusting ? the won ton soup was horrible. I asked for a refund and said I can return the food he told me just don't order from here anymore.. y'all can bet I will surely take his advice. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY YOU WILL BE HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED ?????. Oh and I ordered lo mein noodles the kids make them better in the microwave
