Power and internet were completely shut off at the hotel while there were absolutely zero issues. Not only the hotel didnt offer any explanations or apologies, they also had no shame charging room rate just as if it was a normal stay. Thanks for that.

Convenient location, right off the highway and about 15 min drive to downtown Des Moines. The staff were friendly, the hotel was clean, and they have a decent bar/coffee bar with some breakfast food options for purchase. I'm not sure if the hotel was empty, but this was the quietest hotel I've ever stayed in! Didn't hear one other guest, the elevator, ice machine, maids, etc, at all during a 3 night stay. The room also had the darkest black out curtains ever.

There were no problems with the hotel itself, but with staff (or lack of it). We pulled into the back parking lot and there was garbage strewn all over the lot. There were 2 garbage cans and one cardboard box overflowing with pizza boxes, Starbucks cup and other assorted food waste. When we told the receptionish at the front desk she was somewhat flippant about it, however, when we returned from dinner it was all cleaned up. This was not a good first impression. The room was comfortable but rather noisey as there was a hockey tournament in town and the hotel ws full of loud players.

Hotel can be difficult to find from the main road. Lobby seems to have been recently updated, it looks quite modern and has plenty of small tables and electrical outlets. The guest rooms themselves are pretty old and tired looking, although on the plus side they have balconies overlooking the courtyard. Staff members are friendly and helpful, although a lot of amenities seem to be unavailable (no water in the lobby, pool is closed, no housekeeping etc.). Seems like Covid is always used as a blanket excuse for removing amenities these days. The cafe by the reception offers some decent breakfast choices and Starbucks coffee, although it closes by 9:30am so not great if you are a late riser.

Great place to stay! Our family with 2 teen boys got the suite with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed, which worked well. We enjoyed time in the pool & hot tub, which were clean and in perfect working order. Many hotels don’t have a hot tub, and we were looking for one after a long day of traveling. The hotel was very clean and front desk staff was helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again!

Laurie, the front office agent, is the BEST!!! She checked me in quickly and explain the local attractions in the area. My room was clean with great amenities like the internet television, couch, etc.

Check in was friendly and efficient. Our king room was a tad tight but not bad and I liked the love seat they had available. They had a package of alcohol wipes in the room for folks that felt the need to additionally wipe down surfaces. The room had everything. I have not stayed here before and don’t know whether they offered complimentary breakfast before the Coronavirus. However, what I saw here in Sep 2020 really pleased me. Courtyard hotels do not offer complimentary breakfast as a rule. That was not the case here. They had a free breakfast for all guests which included juice in bottles, coffee, microwaveable breakfast sandwiches, pastries, yogurt and cereal. All I can say is “wow”. If this is special during Coronavirus they are unique - adding something where other hotels that normally offer complimentary breakfast are only offering a bottle of water, apple and granola bar in a bag! Good job Clive team!!

Stayed here for one night on a business trip and found it to be a very comfortable property. The lobby area is redone and is very welcoming and all of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I'll certainly stay here again when in the area.

Stayed here one night on a road trip in October 2019. Very helpful front desk staff and the hotel was clean and well maintained. Breakfast offerings were a highlight - very healthy and delicious options. Would stay here again if in the area.

Upon checking in it was very hard to find a clerk. I have never had to bellow and bellow “hello” to little avail. Seriously it was ten minutes before the clerk showed up. I really felt unwelcome! We had a room that was a long, long way from the elevator. The room was not clean. Many little things such as only one cup for the in room coffee were pretty annoying especially considering the ridiculous price. Would not recommend staying here.

The room was clean and comfortable. Location was close enough to the highway and was only a 15 minute drive into Des Moines. Although the staff were friendly, check-in took a while to complete. Was acknowledged by staff at the cafe that someone would assist me shortly, but they didn't call anyone to come out. When the person finally did, was ignored, took her time restocking items at the cafe before coming over to check me in. Comfortable rooms, but service during check-in was a bit lacking.
