Chips and guac were solid and generous. Fajitas and accompanying rice and beans were underwhelming

Went later on a Friday night when in town visiting. We went about an hour and a half before closing. We were met at the door by a friendly man and were seated right away. A nice lady then gave us drink / food menus, and we ordered some drinks, but that is the last we saw of her. We had to flag down another person about 10-15 minutes later to order food. We even looked for her and couldn't finder her. Being later near closing time, it wasn't that busy, but I guess we will never know...
Either way, the gentleman who ended up taking our order was plenty friendly. Food was great and there was a lot of it too. Even with the server thing, I'll still go a 5* as it was really good otherwise and we will certainly stop by when we stop by again.

Update - Came back for another lunch and food was once again fantastic. We will keep returning when we are in town.
We stopped by for an early Saturday lunch. We were the only ones in the restaurant. Our server was very friendly and all of our food was delicious. Unfortunately I did not take any pics of the main meals. Our chorizo and queso with chips was delicious. We will be back next school year and I will share more evidence of the great food.

One of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to. Had the Burrito Azteca it was fantastic and priced very well.

I was invited to dine here by friends and I will say that after previously living in Iowa City for five years, this is the best and most authentic Mexican cuisine in the area, in my opinion. The atmosphere is exceptional. The food was authentic, tasty, and not overpriced...and for this location and atmosphere, it could definitely be overpriced. My margarita was a tad watered down, but it was delicious non-the-less. Will definitely be back...often!

Ordered delivery from Blue Agave with low expectations for how it would travel. Turns out, it traveled wonderfully and was delicious! We ordered tacos and chips with queso. All were wonderful!!
