First of all, I couldn't find the place and a lady walked outside to let me know I was on the wrong end of the block. That says a lot. Second, the food was sooo good. Third, the re-heated leftovers were amazing.

This establishment doesn't provide a large about of rice with your hibachi meal as other similar restaurant styles would. The food quality and service is great. If you're looking for sushi, the quality is great here, but the specialty rolls are disappointingly small.

First time and did not disappoint. The atmosphere is very relaxed and inviting. Our waitress greeted us promptly with water and menus. We asked for recommendations and she was very helpful. Our drinks came quickly. The margarita was well prepared and delicious. The hot sake and the hot green tea was very good.
We ordered sushi rolls and teriyaki steak. The steak was tender and full of flavors. The accompanying veggies mixed very good with the meat.
The sushi rolls very fresh and had exceptional flavors.
The service was very good, our waitress very helpful and checked on us frequently.
Konomi definitely 5 star resturant with attention to service and fresh food.

Oxtail ramen? Why yes please and thank you!

I am a sucker for the deeply flavorful cut known as Oxtail. Exquisite beefiness with a unique mouth feel will always be a yes for me! I do lament the fact that as a young man, this cut was one step above scrap. Now though, I am far from alone in my enjoyment of it which has driven the price point up to that of a sirloin or ribeye, in my area.

Back to the meal and experience. The cut lived up to its billing but the broth could have used a couple firm nudges to escape the “one note” moniker. As with any good Asian restaurant, fish sauce was readily available and with that, some soy and chili paste melding the beef, bok choy and ginger, I happily slurped away!

What was a good experience was shadowed by clunky service though. Our meals came 5 minutes apart with my seaweed salad not coming out until after asking for it. I am chalking this up to us being the first patrons for dinner service. I imagine our waiter needed to shake the cobwebs loose and get into his rhythm.

Overall a good experience and would not hesitate stopping in and trying other selections from the menu.

I will start by saying we go here frequently, our kids love the food every time we have gone.

We went here on a Sunday evening at 5:45. There was one party of three at the bar, 2 tables, and a party in the hibachi area. When we walked in we were not greeted by anyone for 5-7 minutes. The host was on the phone and servers and the bartender walked by 3-5 times without acknowledging us. When we were sat down it was another 5-10 minutes before our server came over with waters and to take our drink order. The server went to get our drinks and again it took about 10 minutes to get 4 soda’s and I had to remind him about my beer order.

When ordering food we got the same thing we get every time we come. I asked for a side of Sriracha and never received it. They must have forgot my wife’s meal because it did not come until we had been there for over an hour. I did not expect to be given this for free, however, it was clearly forgotten. We were told we would be given 15% off thinking it was our bill, it was off of my wife’s meal which was a $3 discount on a tab of $112 for our family of 5.

Again, we frequently go to Konomi, kids have requested most of their birthday parties to be at the hibachi. This will be the last time I ever go there, not sure what has changed, but this was the worst experience I have ever had dining out.

Good food, good atmosphere, but some recipes for appetizers (e.g. potstickers) may be different than what you're used to, and the amount of appetizers and sushi for the price is a bit less than I'd expect.

Seating available indoors or outdoors, which was nice. The sushi we had was especially good for those who aren't into classic rice and raw fish sushi; lots of tempura, shrimp, and other options. The food was a bit pricey for the amount for appetizers and sushi, but the ramen bowl was absolutely huge. Only one person was able to finish their bowl. They also don't skimp on the fat for the meat, which can be good or bad depending on your preference.

The yakisoba was great, and I'd recommend it

Overall our experience was good but not amazing. Food and atmosphere were enjoyable, parking was close, and it was a nice area to walk around.

We had a great dinner at this restaurant. Miso soup is very tasty, so was teriyaki chicken and yakisoba chicken. It might be a bit on a pricey side, but the portions are huge. Will definitely come back when in the area. Liked it very much

This is the worst ramen that I have ever eaten in my life.

In addition to the terrible ramen, the service was also unpleasant. I don’t know whether they’re short of staff but everything was too slow. I waited nearly 30 minutes for my ramen.

Not recommended at all.

A group of 12 of us ate at the Hibachi grill. With a large group of people gratuity is automatically added. We were all okay with that. However, the waitress then told us that we could only split the bill 4 different ways. This was the first time I have ever had that happen at a restaurant, but okay, we figured that out. It was inconvenient for some as they had to Venmo/pay cash to others. It also seemed the waitress was still confused about whose bills to put together and had to ask us numerous times. At the end, one individual in our party asked if they could tip the hibachi chef. The waitress told her that all of our gratuity that had been added to our bill went to the chef, that she did not get any of that. Now, our food was great, and I don’t disagree that the chef deserves a tip, however, our waitress was constantly running around getting us drinks, clearing our plates away, etc, and should be deserving of some of the tip (if not most of it.) It made me wonder, had we not done hibachi, would the cook in the back get our gratuity. Both our food and service were great, some of just left there with a bad feeling about how they do things with gratuity and splitting bills.
