On our first visit to Corning Iowa we stopped at Background's Coffee bar for coffee and lunch. Background's was a real treat. They have great coffee, smoothies and sandwiches. I had a strawberry, mango smoothie and my wife had a Carmel coffee, fantastic! Hard to choose from all their smoothies, teas and coffees. We loved their sandwiches for lunch, tasted wonderful. We decided to stop here while on a trip enjoying the lake nearby. I can not recommend this shop enough. Affordable, kind, amazing customer service, great tasting coffee, and adorable boutique portion. We will definitely be back.
We recently moved to corning and were looking for a place to grab a coffee and luckily found this place!! We highly recommend trying this place if you haven't yet, they will not disappoint. I have tried several and all are amazing!!
