8 Best Japanese Restaurants near Council Bluffs

“We eat here quite a bit when we are in the area for work & aways come hungry. The last three times we have stopped hasn’t been the best. I feel like we are always having to find someone to fill up our drinks, appetizers aren’t put in, we were very patient on a day they had one sushi chef but was told the wait would be 20 min…an hour & 15 later our food hadn’t been started and it was so quiet in there.. I will say the sushi is amazing and always has been but table service hasn’t been there. I Would still recommended for sushi (we haven’t tried hibachi yet) just hoping the service picks up a little.“

“We came here Christmas Eve with our family and ordered all you can eat Sushi for 5. Let me tell you, our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs but everything we had was outstanding from many selections on the menu. Edward, our server, was incredibly attentive and very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and food and plan to make this a regular dining experience. Wonderful atmosphere, outstanding food and excellent service. Highly recommend checking out this little gem of a restaurant in Bellevue!“

“Cute place with plenty of seating. We were able to make a reservation online and get right in with two adults and a high chair. The waitress we had was very friendly and did a great job answering any questions and explaining the menu. We had the crab rangoons, everything smoked salmon, and 3 sushi rolls…all were delicious. We both really enjoyed our drinks as well. I would return!“

“Stopped at Hiro on a couples trip to Omaha. It had one of the best happy hours I have ever seen. It even had a decent variety of selections for the person in our group that doesn’t eat seafood. The choices available for sushi and rolls was amazing. It wasn’t just a few basic rolls on the happy hour menu. There were at least 20. The happy hour menu on their website lists fewer than half of what is available. The drink specials were awesome as well. Our server was attentive and friendly. Can’t wait to visit again.“

“this is my FAVORITE restaurant. I am vegetarian and have tried every tofu item and every single one of them was amazing. the food is delicious, but what’s even better is the customer service. Everyone who works here is so kind. My boyfriend and i get food from here usually every week, and they are always so welcoming and friendly. If you’re looking for a place to eat, i will always recommend Jade Palace. plus they pack the food so thoughtfully.“

“I like this place. The food was good overall. I went there for the second time on Valentine's Day. We had the lunch buffet. It is a great deal but there was no waiter/waitress looking to earn a good tip. They have a call button for when you are ready to order more food but there was no rush. It was likely due to them being busier than usual. I did try the Scorpion bowl which was a mixture of different types of liquor. It was an experience. I will attach a photo of it. I will have to go here again to get a better idea of what their service is like normally.“
