Cabos Cantina & Grill 2

We were in the quad city area for the weekend and fortunately we decided to give Cabos Cantina 2 a try. We were greeted promptly on a Friday night by Jose and were suggested to try Jose’s Special if we were thinking about doing fajitas. This was the best (full of taste) fajitas I have ever had. It has steak, chicken, pork, shrimp, bacon with the vegetables and queso. What else needs to be said!!! Jose was Very friendly and personable and knows how to do fajitas. Would definitely recommend and if we are ever back in the area we will visit again!!!

Let’s talk about the menu, which is full of bold, authentic flavors, but there’s one dish that rises above the rest: the Jose Special. This dish is nothing short of legendary. These fajitas arrive at your table still sizzling on a hot skillet, filling the air with the mouthwatering aroma of grilled meats, spices, and caramelized onions. The meat — whether you go for steak, chicken, or shrimp, it has it all— is perfectly seasoned, juicy, and tender. The peppers and onions are roasted to a smoky perfection, adding just the right amount of sweetness and bite. The pineapple is an amazing touch as well. And then there are the homemade tortillas — warm, soft, and the perfect vessel for building the ultimate fajita. Top it all off with their fresh guacamole, house salsa, and a splash of lime, and you’ve got yourself one of the best meals you’ll ever eat.

But amazing food is only part of what makes Cabo 2 special. The true heart of this restaurant is Jose, the single greatest waiter you will ever meet. Calling him a waiter almost doesn’t do him justice — he’s a host, a guide, and an entertainer all in one. Jose has an uncanny ability to make everyone feel like family from the moment they walk in the door. He’s fast, attentive, incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, and always ready with a genuine smile and a perfectly timed joke. Need a recommendation? Jose has you covered. Want to customize your meal? Jose will make it happen like it’s no big deal. He makes the dining experience seamless, warm, and genuinely fun. You’ll find yourself looking forward to your next visit just to see him again. He even added complimentary baby beers and baby root beer floats for the kids at the end to celebrate an amazing dining experience.

Important side note: Jose doesn’t work on Thursdays. If you’re planning your first visit, try to come on a different day — trust me, while Cabo 2 is still great without him, there’s just something magical about having Jose as your server. He elevates the entire experience.

Whether you’re going for a quick bite, a family dinner, or a night out with friends, Cabo 2 hits every mark — and then some. Amazing food, unbeatable service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere that keeps you coming back. Five stars isn’t enough. This place — and especially Jose — deserves ten.

While visiting the Davenport area, my mom and I were on the hunt for a good dinner spot. My cousin recommended Cabos Cantina & Grill—and baby, they did not disappoint!

From the Don Julio top-shelf margarita (which only comes in JUMBO, y’all!) to the food, everything was amazing. My mom and I shared their famous “Jose” Fajitas, and OMG… talk about fresh and flavorful! Every bite was sizzling perfection. 🌶️🔥

Now let’s talk about the guacamole… I usually pass on it because some places love to get fancy and mess it up with weird ingredients. But Cabos keeps it real! Just natural, fresh, simple ingredients—and it was SO. DAMN. GOOD. 🥑💚

Honestly, I wish I could pack this whole restaurant up and bring it home with me. 😩 If you’re in the Davenport area, do yourself a favor and make this your dinner stop. You’ll thank me later!

Food was delicious and the server guided us to the best food on the menu. I live over 2 hours away, but my friends and I will be back specifically for this place if nothing else in Davenport.

This was our first time eating at Cabos and we were not disappointed! We got the pleasure of being served by Jose himself and he talked us into ordering his special fajitas. I cannot say enough good things about how delicious and filling the fajitas were. Jose also brought out some homemade salsas and we loved them both! We ended up having to ask for a box because we were too full. Thank you to Jose and your lovely restaurant. Hopefully we get to eat here again in the future!

Food was served very quickly, which I appreciated. The staff was friendly and helpful. Mexican music was playing in the background, creating a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. As for the food — it was okay. Nothing bad to say, but nothing outstanding either. Overall, it’s a decent place to stop by if you’re in the area.

The José Fajita Special is SOOOOO good!! Our waiter recommended it and we went for it....so good!! Bacon, Shrimp, Steak, Chicken, peppers, onions, oh my!!!

My family and I love to come here. Their food is always amazing. The atmosphere is always friendly well maintained and clean. The staff is polite, friendly, and appreciative. Family friendly enjoyable experience everytime we go.

José recommended his special fajitas and they didn't disappoint. 2 orders was more than enough for the table of 4 of us. We've been coming to Cabos 2 for a while, so the off menu recommendation was a nice surprise. Food there is always great and this was no different.

Cabos 2 has definitely become my go to place in the QC for great food. The staff is always so incredibly friendly/welcoming and they are always on top of their game with their service. I literally recommend just about anything on their menu, but I am particularly fond of the Jose's special, the Hawaiian Jose's special, and of course as a taco fiend I love their al pastor tacos. Everyone should check them out if you haven't yet, you definitely will not be disappointed.

Wonderful food, and value for the money. Food served hot, and attentive waitstaff never fails!

We had "Jose's Special" and it was fantastic! They had live music and everyone was dressed up for Halloween. Great food! Great time!
