It's been years since I ate at Maid-Rite. I forgot how plain it is. Basically, a Maid-Rite is ground beef that is lightly seasoned (barely), diced onions and dill pickles. The sandwich unfortunately tends to be on the dry side, but the fries were crispy and tasty, and the chocolate shake was smooth and rich. We had a great lunch meal.

Unique place to eat. I had a couple when I was a kid when I lived in Colona, Illinois. My dad always talked about the Maid-Rite before I ever tried one. And now anytime I travel anywhere near one I take the time to go there and eat.
And the waitress was great at this particular restaurant.
Dry tasteless maid-rites today. Nowhere near as good as it should be or used to be. Very disappointed.

Asked for a cheese rite and they put a piece of cheese on it, wasn’t even hot enough to melt the cheese. It was all cold.Will not return

Went there at about 6pm ,the maid rite meat was over done and didn't have much meat in the 2 sandwiches I had the fries and shake were fine but doubt I will ever comeback again
