Hidden Gem Alert!
We usually hit the coffee shop by Rivercenter, but I happened to drive past this spot and wow — what a find! I got a caramel latte and a fried egg sandwich, and both were absolutely delicious. The coffee tastes fresh and smooth — not burnt or stale like some places. And the sandwich? So yummy!
Prices are totally reasonable too.

I've been grinding
all kinds and brands of coffee since 1984. nothing has pleased me as much as redband coffee. the roaster is an artist. bravo!

Redband Coffee Co. is a clean and welcoming establishment known for its great service, food, and phenomenal coffee. The New Orleans Iced Coffee is a must-try, alongside the delicious breakfast sandwiches and scones. Customers often praise the fresh, smooth coffee that tastes better than burnt or stale options found elsewhere. The staff is very friendly, making every visit a pleasant experience. The breakfast sandwiches, particularly the fried eggs with sausage and smoked Gouda cheese on fresh baked bread, are considered some of the best in Iowa and possibly the entire Midwest. Prices are reasonable, and the shop features a dog window with treats for canine visitors, adding to its charm. There is no inside eating, only takeout, but a couple of picnic tables are available for outdoor dining. The unique pay system, without tip screens and with fair wages, makes the place even more appealing. Many visitors plan to return, citing the excellent service and high-quality food as reasons for frequent visits. A stop here for breakfast or coffee is always a great choice along the upper Mississippi.
