The Brewed Book - Coffee Shop & Used Book Store

It is such a cute shop! stopped in with a friend as the start of our Iowa Indie Bookshop Tour for the day and was recommended and bought a wonderful drink made by the wonderful staff member working the counter!! Would definitely made the drive and visit again!

My Dad and I stopped in for an afternoon break while touring around the city. We enjoyed our made to order coffee and hot chocolate before sitting near the fire place to enjoy the books and board games on offer. Parking was easy. The space is very relaxing. The baristas are friendly. What more can anyone ask for!

The Brewed Book is my absolute FAVOURITE coffee shop ever! I was just searching around on the internet for some place to get coffee one day, and I found this place. I knew it was perfect.

Over the summer, I went there at least once a week, and the workers are so nice. All of their drinks that I've tried are delicious, and the pastries they have there are also amazing! Several times I've walked in just to grab a chai and sit down on one of their (crazy comfortable!!!) couches to read, and it's almost always the best part of my day.

The atmosphere is so perfect as well. It's always relatively quiet, even if there are people speaking at full volume because of how MANY books there are! It's a bookworms dream <3

All of their prices are super affordable as well! At most I'll spend 20 dollars there, but that's only if I get four drinks for me and my family! Usually, if I'm just going for me, it's really only 3-5, which is SO affordable, especially compared to other coffee shops, like Starbucks or Scooters. Not to mention that it's all a lot more personal because it's not a chain shop!

Now that I'm back in my home town, I can't visit as often, but every time I'm down in Davenport, I always make sure to stop by and grab a drink!

Stopped out of the blue to get coffee. Neat little shop with a cool atmosphere. Felt like a library and wasn’t sue if I could talk at normal levels at first. Service was quick and friendly. Bought a couple smoothies and they were good. Nice little coffee shop.

We’ve been here for the past two days and have absolutely loved every moment. The service has been outstanding, he was very friendly and kind he made us the best iced vanilla lattes! The place is very clean and never ending books to choose from. Very affordable as well : )

I was so excited to try this place because I know the owner. Coffee delicious. Super cute atmosphere. However, and this is a big however.... the "barista" was rude from the moment we walked in the door. We asked where the menu was. He was very annoyed and pointed where it was. We asked what the pastries were (we didn't see the placards) and once again the batista was very annoyed with us. At this point my thought was I'm not coming back. I then asked about the owner.... he started treating us kinder and told us to have a nice day. Lol

This is definitely where to go if you love to read and like to drink coffee. I’m not a big reader and it was too quiet for my purposes (business meeting) but I respect what they’re doing here, if you are a bookworm come check it out!!
