The Hay Market is described as a great dive bar with a great dive bar atmosphere. The menu offers a fairly simple lunch menu that is well executed, with generous and tasty portions at very reasonable prices. Specific meals mentioned include the Hangover, the Lincoln, the breakfast burrito, the chorizo burrito, and the Philly omelet, all of which do not disappoint. The American fries are actually cottage fries but cooked perfectly. The service is prompt, super friendly, and very attentive, with employees who work well together. They do not take credit cards, so bring cash. Customers also enjoy excellent Bloody Marys, adult beverages, and a hot chocolate with a shot of peppermint schnapps. The Hay Market is a great place for a good cold drink and a great chat. Note that food service will be back about mid July after an interior rehab is finished.
