Went in on a Tuesday night and they happened to randomly serving food so hubs and I were able to enjoy some delicious burgers. Loved the beer selection. Kinda wish we would have gone back a different time to try even more. Will definitely be visiting again next time we are in Decorah

Been coming to decorah for 15 years to chase trout. In all my trips coming here the only thing I disliked about the area is the restaurants. Came to Dixie’s to have a few beers and ordered the smash burger with truffle fries.
I’m a bit of a food snob and not easy to please, but when I say this was the best smash burger I’ve ever had I mean it. I’m very well travelled and have lots of restaurants across the US to compare to.
You’re missing out if you don’t eat here, plain and simple.

Dixie’s, you’re impressive! My favorite go-to spot in Decorah!! Soooo many fantastic tap options, literally something for everyone, including NA options. I love that the options are always rotating so I can try something new with each visit! Your kitchen addition has been incredible - it’s clear only the best ingredients are used and that the staff passionately cares about the delicious appetizers and meals being created! This is elevated “bar food” that doesn’t disappoint, I have loved everything I’ve ordered and you won’t find anything else that compares in Decorah! I also appreciate that you’ve kept the taproom environment with the added bonus of food. The self-service works wonderfully, no waiting, just order at the bar when you’re ready - it’s genius! All of your staff is always happy and friendly, making it a place that’s enjoyable to visit. If the parking lot is full, find a spot on the road, I promise it’s worth it!! The service was super friendly 😊 and made the whole experience even better. Great selection of beers on tap 🍻—plenty to choose from whether you're into something light or bold.
I ordered the Biergarten Burger and wow... it was amazing 🤤. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. It came with crispy shoe-string style fries 🍟 that were the perfect sidekick.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a laid-back dinner spot with great food, drinks, and vibes. Will definitely be back!
Service was non-existent tonight. No signs letting you know you need to order at the bar, and it took 5 minutes for us to be informed that you order at the bar. You get a pager to come get your own food, Bartenders didn't checked up on the food. Watched another couple go up to get to-go containers from kitchen themselves, We weren't drinking and self-served water. The food was pretty standard bar fare. Smashburger & truffle fries were good but the ceese curds tasted like the oil and thr Mahi-Mahivtacos were meh. Unlikely to return.
