Been coming to decorah for 15 years to chase trout. In all my trips coming here the only thing I disliked about the area is the restaurants. Came to Dixie’s to have a few beers and ordered the smash burger with truffle fries.
I’m a bit of a food snob and not easy to please, but when I say this was the best smash burger I’ve ever had I mean it. I’m very well travelled and have lots of restaurants across the US to compare to.

❤️ Chicken Garten Pazanella Salad w/ Balsamic Pastacio Pesto dressing, YUMMY! Curry Shrimp w/Fries, NOT SO GOOD! One Star for self service ordering and pickup and two star for Sticky Outdoor Dining Table, we were popular with the insects, but I loved the outdoor patio with beer hops overhead, Pretty!
