Visiting the town on a beautiful Saturday afternoon looking for a lite lunch when I walk upon this deli on the corner. Advertised chili dogs. Glad I stopped. Lunch was a bargain and the chili dog was pretty much a chilli brisket sandwich with a hot dog somewhere inside. I couldn't eat the whole thing. The owner was a pleasure to chat with. Surprisingly knowledgeable.
I’ve recently given birth and was craving a sandwich from Water Street Deli for months. My husband called while I was in labor. The deli was going to be closed, but he worked with him to get me a sandwich for after birth in his off hours 🥪❤️
Great sandwich and great, friendly service, not much more to say. I was visiting Decorah for the day (from Madison, WI) and this is the kind of place you like to find when you've traveled all of that distance.
