My go-to order at soft serve shops is the blizzard equivalent with cookie dough and rainbow sprinkles and Whippy Dip set the bar really high!!! The cookie dough blended into the ice cream is incredible and was delightfully unexpected as I’m used to small cookie dough chunks. I had this a couple months ago while visiting Decorah and can’t stop thinking about it! Cookie dough tornado all the way!
Out of towners who decided to try this place as recommended by Google. I had the tortoise shell small cone which was a neat concept. The vanilla soft serve was filled with caramel and then dipped in chocolate with pecans sprinkled on it. So cool! However, after eating the outer coating, the soft serve ice cream lacked flavor. Yes, I waited to see if it was because the coating might have overshadowed the flavor, but no. The ice cream itself is not creamy, nor sweet. Staff was great...
Enjoyed our stop here. Pretty much a must if you're in Decorah. The ice cream was good. Very tasty and reasonably priced. Looked like a nice selection of food and ice cream. Seating behind under the trees for convenience and shade. Parking is generally available. Will be going back.
