If I didn't know I was in Des Moines, I'd believe Allora was in Milan, Italy. The food was fresh and delicious, and the coffee was perfection. The service was great, both unobtrusive and attentive (a balance not a lot of American restaurants at this price point seem to understand. Centro also does a great job balancing the two!)
Had a fantastic event hosted here. Everyone loved the food (breakfast burritos!) and the service was exceptional. The glass windows allow for amazing lighting which provided great pictures. No complaints here.
The food was delicious, nice atmosphere. Two staff members were working the floor, it took a while to get refills, boxes for extras, and the bill.

Allora Cafe is a hidden treasure in downtown Des Moines, offering beautiful views of the Pappajohn Sculpture Park through its tall glass windows. The modern and sleek setting creates a quiet and comfortable space for conversation. The menu features elevated flavors at reasonable prices, with popular options like the meatball sandwich and chicken mozzarella panini. The staff is very friendly and attentive, providing excellent service and making the dining experience memorable. Located in an office building, the cafe has a cute setup and nice bathrooms. Despite not usually offering tea, the staff went out of their way to make some for a customer. With ample parking and private party options, Allora Cafe is a great spot to visit in downtown DSM.
