The Cinnamon Swirl French Toast was outstanding and the hash browns and sausage were just as good. Being an Upper Midwest transplant from the South, I’m a little picky about biscuits and gravy and I’ll have to say the gravy needed a little more seasoning, but the biscuit was great. Overall, this was a super breakfast experience on our visit to Des Moines.
After being overseas for culinary school, and working in the restaurant industry for 15+ years, I’ve worked at some of the HIGHEST level restaurants the world has to offer in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, New York, with plates being over 100$+ MINIMAL I will say honestly for a ma pop place I was throughly pleased, our breakfast was great, you can taste the freshness in every bite.
