Truly some of the best food I've had in DSM. Beautiful space. Just a little loud when people were packed in.

I went here to meet up with a friend. I'm somewhat wary of hotel restaurants, but this one is very good. We each had a cocktail (I had 2! “Pretty in Pink” and their Manhattan), and shared the garlic and brie appetizer. It just needed maybe 2 more slices of the bread, but it was delicious! Friend had the salmon, which he really enjoyed. I had the mushrooms over grits and they were delicious! I wish they'd been a TOUCH hotter, but I like my food really hot, so that's a “me” thing. Andre, our server, was funny, attentive, and very nice. If I ever find myself in Des Moines again, I'd recommend! Very nice. They were even having a wedding reception in the back!

The maître d' worked with the 4 of us to let us eat in the Courtyard. Great service, delicious drinks and food. We shall return.

What started out to be a nice evening with good drinks appetizers and service, quickly went south. My husband and I ordered the three course price fixed meal on Father's Day and he received a decent size steak whereas I received a piece of cod the size of a chicken finger. Not only was the discrepancy in the size of entrées startling, but the problem was the cod was rancid. It smelled bad and tasted bad. It was inedible. When the waiter returned, my husband asked him to cook his steak more and I informed him that my fish was bad. I told him that it was spoiled and didn't taste good. He did not ask me if I wanted anything else, but told me that the kitchen would have to check on that. He then returned 10-15minutes later with my husband's steak and completely ignored the fact that I just handed him back my entire entrée, including the side dishes, which were not touched. He never mentioned it again, nor did he offer to substitute something else and he just continued to come to the table and act as if nothing happened. I wasn't that hungry so I didn't make a big thing of it. We were waiting for him to either bring back another dish with new fish or actually address the issue. Neither of those things happened.I should have been offered an option or it should've at least been discussed. Instead, he returned with our desserts and acted like nothing took place. In the end of the evening we were charged for the entire meal, which seems a little ridiculous. Some adjustment should've been made or I should've been offered other food. I have called the restaurant three times to discuss this with them and they have never once returned the call. So for me, it was a one star event.

Disappointing. We came for brunch on Father's Day because this restaurant was well rated. The service was underwhelming. Our food took over a half hour and it wasn't that busy. It would have been fine but our waitress hovered around the food station so we sat with empty beverages until I could flag her down for refills. Staffing shortages are understandable but not checking in with your table about the delays and ensuring their cocktails and sodas are refilled during a long wait was poor customer service. A manager never checked in either which usually happens if a kitchen is short staffed or backed up. The mimosas were good and well balanced between prosecco to juice. The Banana Foster French toast was delicious. My son ordered the burger and fries which was also good. My husband ordered traditional breakfast. His eggs were overcooked and both the eggs and bacon were cold when served. His breakfast potatoes were really good. We aren't sure if we will be back to try again. Our experience was not aligned with most user reviews so perhaps it was an off day? Our waitress appeared to be possibly new and uncertain. I was excited to surprise my husband to finally try this restaurant on his special day, and it was sadly a bummer.

We started in the bar and then ate in the restaurant. Menu was varied and the food was very good (bison ribeye, prix fix steak, smashburger). Only complaint was the slow delivery between starter and main entree. We waited about 15' to get the starter and at least 25' for the main entrees after we finished the starter. While the waiter was great, the speed of service needs work.

Food was very average. Steaks over cooked. Meatloaf disappointing . Service was great appetizers were good beat salad too much sauce not enough beats. Brussels good sauce bad Was just ok in my book

Service was wonderful, but the tomahawk we ordered was pretty substandard for the price: both under and overcooked with a tough consistency. They also didn't cut it at the table, something that's typical at other spots I've frequented. Appetizers and drinks were great, though. I'd visit again for happy hour, but not a whole meal.

Place was great. Food was fantastic. Dish selection goes from simple and home like to exquisite and rare . Every dish had a unique twist in taste as well as layout. Price was fair. For unique dish you pay more for simple dish you pay less. Very fair and proper in cost evaluation. Staff were simply fantastic. We didn't have to wait long for food. It was prepared rather quickly. The waiter was enthusiastic and very kind. He made us laugh a couple of times with his attitude and behavior. Very nicely done. I highly recommend.

Deliciously good. Fun location and cool ambiance. Was fun watching the world go by out of the windows. Apps were amazing. Excellent service. Would come back.

We had a reservation we were a few minutes late but let them know and we had to wait 45 for our table. The server was great but service was slow and the whole evening dragged out much later than we wanted.

Another great dining experience here! Our service was phenomenal from the front of house, to the bartender, and our server. The food was perfect. We keep saying this is our favorite restaurant because the food is always great and the whole experience is top notch. Their new beautiful patio is open now and we can't wait to come back and sit out there.

We enjoyed the food and drinks that Andre recommended. We look forward to dining here again soon!

Food was very good. Had Bison Rib Eye and wife had the Salmon. Cocktails were so-so. Martini's were small and overpriced. Ambiance was nice. Prices were a little over the top for what you get. Still haven't found a better upscale dining experience in Des Moines than Cooper's Hawk in Clive. Overall Mulberry was good experience

Our server was awesome. She provided us with perfect descriptions of the food on the menu. Made great recommendations!
