Great staff and great food! Are here for a couple nights as I moved and was unpacking a couple blocks away. Just a little pricey but can’t complain about that too much.

Have we no decorum?

Had a beautiful time in Dubuque with friends and loved ones however it was spoiled by our truly terrible experience at this restaurant. Our server was clearly uninterested in doing his job - he constantly forgot items, we waited no joke 45 minutes for CHECKS and then were ignored after that as well. I was fuming. He sat at the table NEXT TO US drinking on shift with the people at the table meanwhile we sat there waiting for a truly ridiculous amount of time. I have never been this frustrated with an establishment. Every server seemed uninterested and annoyed anytime they interacted with guests. The food itself was nothing to write home about, the fries were cold and the SEVENTEEN DOLLAR handful of fried tortellini tasted inexplicably stale. We asked for waters which never came and were stuck at the place for an hour and a half, most of which was spent waiting on our server to get off of his damn phone or leave the table NEXT TO US. He spilled nearly every drink I saw him carrying and had exactly zero hospitality skills. He seemed either high or drunk the entire time and it was very frustrating to see in the middle of the day. I will not be coming back due to the service or lack there of. Don’t waste your time.

Absolutely terrible service. Our server forgot multiple things—multiple times—and clearly had no interest in doing his job. Even when he was walking around, he was glued to his phone the entire time. Forget asking for a refill—it’s not coming. At one point, he even sat down at the table next to us with his own beer while still on the clock, just hanging out like he wasn’t supposed to be working. Meanwhile, we sat there for 45 minutes after we were clearly done eating, just waiting for the check. On top of all that, the food was ridiculously overpriced for what turned out to be bland, mediocre, completely forgettable dishes. Between the lazy, unprofessional service and the disappointing food, this place isn’t worth your time or money. Never again.

Service is terrible. Bar tender / waitress completely ignores male guests . Waiting awhile is the theme when trying to order anything. Wouldn't recommend.

Fast service, good drinks, and good tasting food. I'd recommend stopping here for your city brewery experience. We were surprised the burgers were kind of 'plain' for the price. The Genesis burger was good but it's just a burger patty, two pieces of bacon, and a mix of sauce on a simple bun, for $18 with fries.
We didn't have the opportunity to taste any beer because we drove through and this was our dinner stop but the Brown Cow drink and one of the mocktails were very good.

Kid-friendliness: Highchair, milk, and standard children's menu. There are games in the back for older children.

Met here for my bday dinner. Had the cheesecurds as an appetizer. I really enjoyed the very light breading. Ordered the boilermaker mac. The beer cheese sauce was really good, had a little sweet kick to it, but that could have been from the BBQ sauce. Garlic toast was lacking garlic flavor, but that could just be from me really liking garlic and needing more. Had the off to the market tacos. Those were nice, but expected a little more meat. Enjoyed the cerveza con queso that it came with. Goos seasoned fries. Clean place. Enjoyed the purple reign and the punchy the clown. Would defabe back. Also, they have an event hall across the street that is lovely!

Kid-friendliness: Kraft mac n cheese. Good kids menu

If you’d asked me yesterday, Dubuque probably wouldn’t have been in my top seventeen places to find a great Cuban sandwich. But now it’s today and 7 Hills is solidly in my Top 5. An absolutely exemplary bit o’ deliciousness that’s the equal of anything you’d find in South Miami. Also, the chili was awesome and my companion loved the lobster mac n’ cheese.
And our dog loved that she was welcome too.

I am seriously impressed with this place! Service was great, the food was next level fantastic, and the root beer might be the best I’ve ever had. I am genuinely excited to come back here to try more of everything!

Stopped tonight after hiking in Mines of Spain. I came with a group of 8 plus a pup. Sat outside, there was no wait, they had us seated immediately. Started with cheese curds(lightly battered and fried cheese cubes) they were amazing as well as the pickle chips. Each of us had something different. I had the bourbon legend with no bacon, wonderful burger. Everyone at the table enjoyed what they ordered. We had a wonderful time. Our server was prompt and kept up on everything. Will definitely return in the future.
