About Brazen Open Kitchen | Bar

Brazen Open Kitchen | Bar in the warehouse district of Dubuque offers a mix of delightful desserts, drinks, and meals. Their lemon meringue dessert stands out with its contrast of tart lemon and sweet meringue. The menu, though pricey, is worth a return visit. Sunday brunch impresses with a fluffy babka and outstanding quiche, complemented by a flavorful tomato jam. The decaf coffee is well done. The restaurant's bread, baked in-house, has a crust that may be a bit tough for some. The monkfish, while requiring a knife and fork to cut, offers a good taste and spot-on presentation. Guests have noted the delicious Orechhiette and Leek Fondue, as well as the amazing flavor of the pan-seared chicken. The fried chicken is a huge portion, though it would be nice if it came with a veggie. While the crab cake was praised as possibly the best in Iowa, some found it a bit small for the price. The restaurant has an artistic and rustic feel, with a warm atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the chef takes pride in using locally sourced, fresh ingredients, presenting them with visually appealing and delicious results, despite being a bit salty for some. Overall, Brazen's delicious food, friendly staff, and pleasant ambiance make for an enjoyable dining experience.

Love the food! Especially that everything is made from scratch. The atmosphere is relaxing. Will return many times!

Thank you Ben for the excellent service!! We had the pork cheek app,and we both had the fried chicken. Both were done extremely well. The chicken was moist, tender and crispy. 4 portions of chicken on each plate with a very well made and generous corn bread. Again thank you Ben and the staff for the wonderful service

It's really the best dining experience in Dubuque. They do a fantastic job rotating the menu and keeping the favorites like the Leek Fondue. Keep up the amazing work!
