Flew Avelo to Orlando from DBQ. Super easy check in, plenty of parking. Even a little snack area/bar open before the flight (cash or Venmo). There is a nice bathroom and water bottle fill stations to use before boarding. It is definitely small, TSA area is pretty cramped. Overall pleasant experience. Hopefully there will be more routes with Avelo in the future.
Highway turn off lane very short with little notice due to poor signage. Major plus is free parking. Wasted space in terminal and with the new larger plane capacity of Avelo coming (whenever) boarding wait area will be very crowded. Poor design.

We had a deer hit us in an Avis rental car (still drivable but not okay to drive at night due to a broken light) and after many hours of driving and waiting for a replacement we arrived in Dubuque and drove to the Airport.We are tired and upset because a deer is dead, our trip is delayed and Avis had to find us a replacement vehicle in a very rural area.
