“We had a LOVELY time. It is basically a neighborhood bar run by very nice people with EXCELLENT food. We were able to chat with our table neighbors and had a delightful time! The sauerbraten & red cabbage were EXCELLENT! So glad we found this little slice of Europe!“

“We stopped at The Barrel House on our way thru Dubuque. Food was great, but our waiter Travis was outstanding! Very nice young man who did everything you'd want a great waiter to do! His mom raised him right!!!“

“Derick was awesome. Quick with a joke and remembered everyone's name. Food was GREAT. Literally one of the better burgers I've had. The Road King on the menu. Bacon, homemade Cole slaw, topped with homemade buffalo sauce. Ordered mine with waffle fries which were cooked perfect. Recommend, recommend, recommend. A little dark, and kinda warm in there but I'm old so....“
