“We are not big into bars but Vicki the owner and Amy Jo never disappoint! Great food options and they will make whatever drink you ask for. These ladies make it such a fun atmosphere and they have live bands on special occasions with great specials!”

“If anyone loves a good Tenderloin, this is your place. Plan on a go-box because you won't be eating it all. They slice the tenderloin, dip it in their special flour & fry it. I love tenderloins and nothing has ever come close to theirs. Im sure the rest of their food is good also because ive never not seen anyone there.
They have a drive-up window & ice cream.
You won't be sorry you found this little gem. I promise!”

“Love love loved it- great customer service, the atmosphere of the place was amazing- great burgers. Didn’t feel like a bar, it out of view of the restaurant which would be great for a “date” night. Thank you for a nice night out on a Tuesday, worth the drive.”

“Since the new owners took over, I've been there 4 times now. Very impressed with the service, staff, and food. The last 2 times have been with my kids. Michael, Jess, Rich, Natasha excellent Service. But Rachel is killing it in the kitchen! Place is usually packed, not long wait time, food is excellent, staff is extremely friendly and service is excellent. If you're 45-60 minutes from Dow City, a must try! The Sirloin is my favorite. Lot of good places in western Iowa, but feel blessed to have this 8 miles from home. Thank you to everyone that works hard to deliver a very pleasant experience at this establishment. Highly recommend!!!”

“My first visit to Common Threads Boutique in Dunlap, Iowa, was nothing short of transformative. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted by the aroma of freshly brewed coffee that instantly lifted my spirits. Let me tell you, that latte was a game-changer! In a city filled with hustle, it was the perfect pick-me-up, reminding me of the importance of supporting local gems like this boutique. These establishments are the heart and soul of our communities, embodying the true spirit of America. I found myself there on a Wednesday, not just for an estimate, but for a greater purpose. On April 15, 2026, Mother Nature had other plans for our community, unleashing storms that left their mark. But I felt a calling to be there, to lend a helping hand in the aftermath of the chaos. Working with Home Pride Contractors, a proud local company rooted in Council Bluffs, with an office in Des Moines, I realized how fortunate I am to contribute to the rebuilding of our beloved community. I am deeply grateful for the sanctuary that Common Threads offers, along with their incredible coffee—my "fancy latte," as I like to call it. It fuels my passion and determination to push through challenges, ensuring there’s no hitch in my giddyup. Together, we can rise above adversity and support one another, embodying the very essence of community resilience. Let’s continue to uplift our local businesses and, in turn, strengthen the fabric of our neighborhoods.”
