Stopped in on a Sunday for lunch, as there wasn’t much open in Elkader. Surprised to see a sports bar that was clean and spacious (especially after a Saturday college football game). The food was good, but they were running short on some of the items. Guessing staff was a little short too, but our waitress was friendly and efficient. Not a bad stop for a reasonably priced American style lunch.

Seated promptly, suggested the special (ham and cheese plate). Was surprised at the size of the huge sandwich, a thick ham and (pick your cheese from 4 options) on the biggest Texas Toast I have personally seen. The fries were crispy well done but not greasy at all (air fryer?) and the coleslaw was also good. That may have been the best Ham and cheese sandwich I have EVER had. Highly recommend! Waitress was kind and attentive without appearing to hover. She was a delight.

Food was reasonably priced and OK the gal working there was at the end of her shift because she had the worst customer service. She was a real peach!😐

I was very excited to try this restaurant after reading all the reviews. I got there around 5:30, and was not greeted nor told I was to seat myself. Once I sat myself the waitress, immediately, was rude- no time was given for me to look over the menu and when asked for time you could see this made her mad. After she took my food order she never came back to the table, she was checking on all her other tables and being much nicer to them to my table. I wanted a drink from the bar but she never came back over to check on us until the food was done when she basically tossed the tray in front of us. In the most annoyed voice asked if we needed anything- we said no. She never came back over to us, not to ask how the food was, not to refill our drinks, not to give us our check. I sat and watched her flirt with customer and go to tables around us multiple times while she completely ignored us. The food tasted very good but the way our waitress treated us completed ruined the experience. To see her be nice and bubbly with everyone us then so rude to my table was just disheartening. I would not go back.

1st time customer; ordered Mac and Cheese and 1lb traditional wings, the wings were naked supposed to be garlic Parmesan. The wings were pink and barely warm with no toppings at all. Mac and Cheese was great. Unfortunately, I’ll be happy if I don’t get sick from eating the barely cooked wings. Probably should have brought them back but can only accomplish so much in a 30 minute lunch. Sadly, won’t be ordering from there anytime soon. My advice to customers check your order before leaving; especially with take out.
TD's is always a good time. Great food and cold drinks, what more could you want?!? Also their boneless wings are hands down the best! Other restaurants that "specialize" in wings don't even compare. Also their burgers are the best around! (try the TD burger with bacon jam, trust me) Honestly I have never been disappointed from anything that has come out of their kitchen or behind the bar. And the staff is always great!
