Grin City Bakery Reviews
Amazing quality every time we stop in
My nephew was visiting Grinnell from Philadelphia, so we were scoping out places for him to visit while he was in town. I came across Grin City Bakery, more importantly this glorious photo of a Blueberry Fritter Loaf. After which I gave him clear instructions: I don't want a t-shirt, I don't want a sweatshirt, I don't want a hat. Bring me back a blueberry fritter loaf. I went in today to get my twin 4 year old daughters donuts after a long night of ear infections. They only had one sprinkle donut, I asked if they had anymore and they didn’t. I gladly took what they had when I was asked if this was gonna break hearts. I said I have twins and this was their reward for being good at the doctors. Grin City Bakery is a must-visit for anyone who loves baked goods. With excellent customer service, the cronut is a standout item. From donut holes to cinnamon twists, every treat is full of love. Despite selling out quickly, there are plenty of options to choose from, including sausage kolaches—especially the jalapeño sausage ones—which are like a perfectly baked roll wrapped around a juicy sausage, similar to a pig in a blanket but better in every way. The bakery is known for its fresh, flavorful items, all made with care. The cozy ambiance and friendly service make it a perfect spot for a sweet treat. If you're a fan of donuts, this bakery is a gem worth stopping by. Visitors often say that the old fashioned donuts, uniquely flavored Bismarcks, and spicy kolache are worth the trip, especially on early mornings Thursday through Saturday when the donuts are amazing. The owners and staff are described as wonderful and super friendly.
