Definitely one of our favorite places while visiting Grinnell. The service is always welcoming and attentive. The atmosphere is comfortable and clean! The food is delish! We stopped in for lunch on a Friday and only had to wait a few minutes for a booth. It's a cute little place with high ceilings and a big window in the front. The waitress and hostess were very friendly. I had the maple sriracha chicken sandwich. It had a nice crunch & yummy syrup. It wasn't very spicy. I switched out the goat cheese for provolone. We love this restaurant for a date night or special evening. The chef specials are always excellent & the waygu beef is over the top excellent. Service is always prompt and attentive. Leave room for dessert, because they have great creme brulee and several other fine choices. The bar will not dissapoint either. We gladly drive 45 min to get here to enjoy an evening at the Prairie Canary.
