The Periodic Table at Hotel Grinnell

Do NOT go here for food. Was so shocked and suprised at the low quality I didn't even remember to take a picture of anything. Low quality "ingredients ", margarehta "pizza" didn't even have basil and the "crust" was just a low quality frozen pita. Service was even worse than the food, except one friendly staff member who came from the kitchen and had no idea what was going on but was friendly.

I want to amend my previous review as I realize it may have been unfairly harsh due to my own bad day. While I initially rated the atmosphere as one star, upon reflection, I recognize that I wasn't fully attentive to your establishment, so this rating doesn't accurately reflect it. Similarly, I didn't encounter any issues during my visit, warranting a higher rating for service. However, I did not receive a greeting, which is why I rated it four stars. I appreciate your outreach and response to my review, which I find to be very classy. Upon reevaluation, I believe a three-star rating without any comment would have been more fitting. Thank you for your attention to my feedback, and I hope this revised review provides a fair assessment of my experience. ?

Stopped there for an early dinner. The steet tacos was absolutely amazing. There are pizzas and cook in a wood oven.
Only one person was working. She was great. We ordered tacos to bring home.we will most definitely be going back.

Where is anybody?!? Party of 3 walked in on 12/27/23 around 5pm when this place is advertised as open and out of approx. 30 indoor seats, only a party of 2 occupied the space. No employees of any kind front or back... all the tv's are off, half the lighting decor is off. Music playing in the kitchen area but no noise of any kind... if this is the norm then the lack of business is no surprise. Try again someday in the future & update if anything changes.

Went here because the hours stated they open at lunchtime on Mondays, so arrived at 2pm. It looks like they have a very nice outdoor patio with fire pits. The door was unlocked, but when I walked inside, the chairs were still up on all the tables, there was music playing from a back room, and a camera pointed towards the door at the end of the bar, but no one was present. If they aren’t open on Mondays, they really should update their business hours. Gave 2 stars because the place looked nice.

I typically leave really distasteful reviews. One star for atmosphere because I was having a bad day and wasn't paying much attention to your place of business.One big thing is I had absolutely zero problems. 4 stars for service because I wasn't greeted.I have changed my review, you shouldnt have to suffer because I wasn't paying attention. But I hope you'll look into my reviews and see that 3 stars and no comment was really good. I also wanna note you reached out and commented on my review which is really classy ?

Service is well-intentioned but slow. Menu items are always unavailable, but food is good. Since there are only a few places worth visiting in Grinnell, IA, be thankful it is there.

Great little hidden gem with great staff, food &drinks. Tons of character!

Food is of a lighter fare, but very good. The Korean beef tacos and the classic stone fired pizza are very good. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
